Sunday, February 14, 2010. Here are my antennas. Not a lot, but they do what i need them to do. I'm most impressed with the 80 meter Half-Wave End Fed vertical/inverted-L/longwire (you decide what it is! It tunes form 80 - 10 and seems to do really well 80 -20 meters. Those listening to my echolink node on 446.150 simplex (T100Hz) will need to use echolink on their own is they wish to continue to listen in or check in to the Good Morning Net or the various evening nets. Use echolink on your computer to connect to *DoDropIn* node #355800. This one that might appeal to all us HF operators - a how-to on using a little Japanese SDR and some free software to create your own panadapter. Sunday, July 19, 2015. 443950 is off the air until I can replace the antenna. It appears to have slowly degraded over the past 2 years. The desense issue has now been eliminated up to the jumper or the repeater antenna. Info gleaned from the web would indicate that the Diamond 718 antennas can't handle the mountaintop locations for - of all reasons - heavy moisture condensation at altitude. Go figure. 73 disconnects while simply inputting the IRLP node or reflector number will connect.

Friday, April 18, 2014. IRLP is now on 444.675 offset 100hz tone. The output is currently 5 watts and the node is connected to the remote base port of the RC 100 controller. Sunday, July 17, 2011. EFJ Low Power Repeater Enclosure. Long story short… I saw an E. F. Johnson-based mini-repeater up for bid on Ebay several years ago and got it for $130 shipped. An empty McDonalds fry container is applied to ward-off evil spirits and repeater gremlins. The trans-fat residue does the trick.
