WCHS ELL Slice of Life: In a Cloud on a Sunny Day
http://wchsellsliceoflife.blogspot.com/2016/03/in-cloud-on-sunny-day.html
WCHS ELL Slice of Life. Monday, March 28, 2016. In a Cloud on a Sunny Day. Despite the bright sun and fresh blue sky, I was in a cloud all day. Sleeping in on so many days last week really affected my circadian rhythms, so it was difficult for me to sleep last night and awaken this morning. I had a meeting at the end of the day, and I found it difficult to articulate my thoughts and ideas. The clouds were thick. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). WCHS Slice of Life Team. WCHS ELL Slice of Life: Cheap Paint is Cheap for a Reason
http://wchsellsliceoflife.blogspot.com/2016/03/cheap-paint-is-cheap-for-reason.html
WCHS ELL Slice of Life. Friday, March 25, 2016. Cheap Paint is Cheap for a Reason. I dislike spending money. It makes me uncomfortable. The mall gives me anxiety, Walmart makes me insane, and paying the bills every month raises my blood pressure. I don't know exactly why I don't like spending money, but I know that it is something I struggle with. I purchased two gallons, a paint tray liner, a package of replacement paint rollers, and two of the cheapest brushes available. WCHS Slice of Life Team.

WCHS ELL Slice of Life: Rainbow Fingers
http://wchsellsliceoflife.blogspot.com/2016/03/rainbow-fingers.html
WCHS ELL Slice of Life. Saturday, March 26, 2016. Our daughter has gotten really good at coming up with beautiful designs. Her eggs will soon be even more amazing than her father's. Perhaps I'll take a painting class and purchase some rubber gloves so that my fingers aren't rainbow colors and my eggs aren't boring. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). WCHS Slice of Life Team. WCHS ELL Slice of Life: Empty Tomb Rolls
http://wchsellsliceoflife.blogspot.com/2016/03/empty-tomb-rolls.html
WCHS ELL Slice of Life. Sunday, March 27, 2016. This morning, my family baked Empty Tomb Rolls in observance of Easter. We had never made these before, but I saw them online. And wanted to try the recipe. Not only did they provide a symbolic representation of the resurrection of Jesus, but they were also delicious! They were so tasty, we're going to make this a new Easter family tradition. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). WCHS Slice of Life Team. Dr Zornes' "Slice of Life". Slice of Life Challenge 2015.

WCHS ELL Slice of Life: The Power of a Run
http://wchsellsliceoflife.blogspot.com/2016/03/the-power-of-run.html
WCHS ELL Slice of Life. Tuesday, March 29, 2016. The Power of a Run. Joy jars are just empty jars. What makes them special is what you put inside! After that, I took my daughter to soccer practice and rather than sit in my car or in a lawn chair, I went for a walk/run. It was difficult. I felt very heavy. I wanted to quit multiple times. However, I stuck with it. I pushed through the pain and was able to keep my heart rate up for 40 minutes. And you know what? I'll do it again tomorrow. Slices from Pod 2.

http://wchsellsliceoflife.blogspot.com/2016/03/blog-post.html
WCHS ELL Slice of Life. Thursday, March 31, 2016. Sunshine and the Clouds. This is my final entry for the 2016 Slice of Life Challenge. This month has passed as quickly as a flash of lightning tearing through the sky. I'd like to reflect back on the experience and consider the highs and lows, the sunshine and the clouds. The challenges include the most obvious: writing every day. Doing something for 31 days in a row is quite a commitment! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). WCHS Slice of Life Team.

The View from Sixth Grade. Reflections and Excitement from Room 606. Monday, March 14, 2016. Slice of Life: March 14, 2016, "A Surprise in the Dark". This morning I was on my daily walk with my dad and Yadi, my Golden Retriever. It was a cold morning, but I found that halfway through my walk, I was getting warm with all my cold weather gear on. I decided to take off my gloves to see if that helped. I hooked them around my wrist by the straps so I didn't have to carry them. It was really 4:15, right!

The View from Sixth Grade. Reflections and Excitement from Room 606. Sunday, March 27, 2016. Slice of Life: March 27th, "Finding My Routine Again". What is about Spring Break that wipes your brain of all routine and responsibility? Tonight I've tried to prepare for my week with the efficiency and speed that I did on a Sunday night just 14 long days ago. And.I couldn't remember anything. I packed my lunch. I made my morning shake. But it took 20 minutes, not 5. March 27, 2016 at 6:20 PM. That I taught - g...

The View from Sixth Grade. Reflections and Excitement from Room 606. Wednesday, March 16, 2016. Slice of Life: March 16th, "Dear Daylight Savings TIme.". Dear Daylight Savings Time,. I thought we were cool. Sunday wasn't too bad. It just got light a little later and dark a bit later, but other than that, I appreciate that you stayed out of my life for the most part. Monday I felt good! You were sweet to me and gave me nice (if still dark) walking weather. Great day, friend! Tuesday was another fab day!

The View from Sixth Grade. Reflections and Excitement from Room 606. Wednesday, March 23, 2016. Slice of Life: March 23rd, "The Perfect Run". The lifts were closing and the family had headed down the mountain. My dad and I decided to take one last run down. The busy mountain house was deserted and the maintenance workers had taken over, trying to get their jobs done quickly on a cold and snowy day in Colorado. Snow Stillness. Solitude. There are a thousand fabulous moments from our trip that stand out as...
