http://thisoldartroom.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
October 25, 2014. Did you know that ancient civilizations put wheels on their toys but never used the wheel for work or transportation? My 7th graders thought this was super interesting too. Using these as inspiration, they made their own wheeled toys out of clay. A wheeled toy from Mesoamerica. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). EXPLORE THE ART ROOM. It was marked $99.I talked her down to $75 which would have been ok. Oh no, not for me , I got her down to $60! I had to paint this beauty. Pray painted the handles red and will. Get red knobs for the bottom drawers. Then, I bought this 1980s gem through a friend for $10. Painted it the same color as the desk.

This Old Art Room: SEEKING THE FACE OF GOD
http://thisoldartroom.blogspot.com/2015/04/seeking-face-of-god.html
April 11, 2015. SEEKING THE FACE OF GOD. As I end my Easter vacation, I thought it was fitting to share these Kindergarten paintings of our Lord. These beautiful paintings were done in one class period. To save a bit of time we used tan construction paper as our base. Mixing the skin tone would have taken another class. Students were given a few tips, like placement and size of eyes, and how to 'double dip' their paintbrushes for the hair, but for the most part this was a free painting session. No-Measur...

So far no one's cried about it. I embraced the leggings this year, but my favorite has become chunky sweaters! This one is easy! I've b...
