The original church on this site was probably 12 th. Century, but the present building, which is of perpendicular style, is mainly of late 14 th. Or early 15 th. Century date. The east wall may represent a surviving element of the earlier building. At its apex is a 17 th. Century sundial. The north transept is 16 th. The heaviest weighs 25 cwt. Friends of St Mary’s. The Friends of St Mary's meet monthly as a group of community friends. We are not a fund-. Raising group, although we do hold occasional events to raise funds for smaller items required by the Church or as a contribution towards restoration projects. You do not need to be a church-. Goer to be a member. The annual subscription is 10 and and we ask visitors pay just 2 for our meetings in Mudford Village Hall which start at 2:30pm, and are held in February, April, October and November.

We are a new independent walking group which will take the place of last year’s Mudford Health Walks which was run under the auspices of the local council. Walks will be of 1 - 2hrs duration and will commence from Mudford Village Hall car park. Some walks will require carshare to point of destination.
