The Channel Circle: March 2013
http://thechannelcircle.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
I'm writing stuff about stuff I like. 'Ello. Monday, 25 March 2013. Not Foundcloud, But Something I Found On Soundcloud. I've been relatively more busy than usual recently, though I do plan to get another Foundcloud out by the end of the month (or if not then, then very likely early next month - unless BioShock Infinite. Ends up taking over my life, which is VERY possible). Anyway, here's something that came across in the Soundcloud feed that I was rather excited about. Certainly an album I'm looking for...

The Channel Circle: March 2014
http://thechannelcircle.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
I'm writing stuff about stuff I like. 'Ello. Sunday, 2 March 2014. The final novel in the Vintage-released collection of Kafka's complete novels, The Castle. Is one that's left me with a mixture of opinions and thoughts hanging in the ether - much like, unfortunately, the story set up by Kafka in this unfinished work. End abruptly a little bit later than it originally would have done. It's just a shame that it all ends so. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Links to my other stuffe. Mute Branches on Bandcamp.

The Channel Circle: August 2016
http://thechannelcircle.blogspot.com/2016_08_01_archive.html
I'm writing stuff about stuff I like. 'Ello. Saturday, 20 August 2016. Prologue #1: 'Wind / Pinball' by Haruki Murakami. For a long time, Haruki Murakami's first two novels seemed to me like peculiar enigmas fitting of the novelist's idiosyncratic style. For decades since their original publications (in the late '70s and early '80s), they were only available in the English language as rare handbooks aimed at Japanese students of English as a second language. Until these two novels –. Hear the Wind Sing.

The Channel Circle: December 2012
http://thechannelcircle.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
I'm writing stuff about stuff I like. 'Ello. Monday, 24 December 2012. Tis the season to post a much-delayed post talking about some great stuff found on Bandcamp recently. In a similar way to my occasional 'Foundcloud' feature, I considered naming this post 'Faaandcamp'. I rejected this, due to not genuinely having a Cockney accent, and worrying therefore about deceiving the Internet. And on CHRISTMAS. I don’t think I’m alone in saying I look forward to whatever Taylor plans to do in the fut...The onlin...

The Channel Circle: December 2013
http://thechannelcircle.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
I'm writing stuff about stuff I like. 'Ello. Monday, 30 December 2013. Eleanor Catton has received plenty of attention this year for her Booker Prize-winning novel, The Luminaries. It was an interest in this novel - seemingly written in a historiographic metafiction-esque style, and compared by some to the much-beloved-by-me series Twin Peaks. That led me to check out first (as I'll be reading The Luminaries. At some point in the new year) Catton's comparatively short debut novel, The Rehearsal. Narrativ...

The Channel Circle: July 2014
http://thechannelcircle.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
I'm writing stuff about stuff I like. 'Ello. Monday, 21 July 2014. It had been a while since I'd read something from Pratchett, and - having not read any of the most recent Discworld. Novels - I went into Raising Steam. Curious about how the fictional world had changed and developed (especially seeing as how many of the recent novels seem to be about the Disc's increasing technological developments and slide towards industrialisation). At some point); something visible in how one of the key themes of the...

The Channel Circle: I'm Back!
http://thechannelcircle.blogspot.com/2016/08/im-back.html
I'm writing stuff about stuff I like. 'Ello. Saturday, 20 August 2016. It's been a while. There's been no huge single reason why I haven't updated in such a long time, though I've been happily immersed in other projects since then (I'll come to that in a bit) and I definitely found that 'Epilogue' was a lot easier to manage when not in full-time employment and all the jazz. Needs right now is more content. And can be checked out below! Mute Branches - Fake Real Warm (bc013) by Mute Branches. One new feat...

The Channel Circle: February 2013
http://thechannelcircle.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
I'm writing stuff about stuff I like. 'Ello. Saturday, 23 February 2013. Two more tracks for February! One of which is accompanied by a rather lengthy slab of text. So something for everyone. I had a real soft spot for Elephant’s Assembly EP. When it was released in 2011 (helping to soundtrack, as it did, lengthy stretches of time in a university library), and I’m glad to hear a new song from the London-based boy-girl duo – presumably a first taste of their upcoming debut album. Sunday, 3 February 2013.

The Channel Circle: April 2013
http://thechannelcircle.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
I'm writing stuff about stuff I like. 'Ello. Monday, 8 April 2013. After not releasing a Foundcloud in March (though maybe the Pan.American post kind of counts), here's another couple of tracks from the 'Like' folder. PLVS VLTRA - 'Rocks in Sun I'. This track is from PLVS VLTRA, the electronic solo project of Toko Yasuda - probably better known for her work with the likes of St. Vincent, Blonde Redhead, and the Van Pelt. Is undoubtedly a nice place to be. Pinkunoizu - 'Tin Can Valley'. Speaking of fun, o...
