The Blue Line Runner. Think Strong, Be Strong, Finish Strong. Wednesday, September 21, 2011. Ironman Augusta 70.3 Race Week. Well time flew and Race Week is here. I love race week. It’s a week full of nervous excitement. Am I nervous? Yes but it’s a good kind of nervous. I feel that I am as ready as I can be at this point so I am looking forward to getting out there and “playing”. I have been struggling to come up with my race expectations. I have a strong. My Dad sent me some new Brooks T7 running shoes...

The Blue Line Runner: July 2011
http://thebluelinememoir.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
The Blue Line Runner. Think Strong, Be Strong, Finish Strong. Thursday, July 21, 2011. What, I'm Serious! Of course I do! I think it's totally appropriate to wear my Nike Frees with the rest of my court room attire. No Really I do! Posted by Summer Brooke. Wednesday, July 20, 2011. Another thing I have learned, trying to fit training sessions in on a vacation regardless of time length is difficult. My family had their annual Christmas in July vacation over the 4. Meet the new addition. I’m a simple...

An Amalgamation of Minor Adjustments.: May 2012
http://ndssprvsn13.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
An Amalgamation of Minor Adjustments. Monday, May 21, 2012. I think this race was a great learning experience for me. I think when I talked about it with my friends, they thought I was not feeling great about it because I may have seemed negative, but on the contrary, I realized some pretty serious things in the time I took to do this race. So, because I swam a really good line, about every minute or so, someone would try to swim over me, or I ran into a slower swimmer. So I did, and that went very well.

One year deep with 10 months to go | 3sportjourney
https://3sportjourney.wordpress.com/2011/11/25/one-year-deep-with-10-months-to-go
The epic story of my journey from zero to triathlon hero. One year deep with 10 months to go. November 25, 2011. Today marks the one year anniversary of when I stepped my fat ass on the scale at the gym and decided that 260 lbs at 33 years old just wasn’t going to cut it. Instead of lifting weights periodically and thinking of myself as a “big guy” (when really I was a fat ass) I decided to make real changes. Interesting article on CRUISE INTERVALS. Off to the pool and then to the track! Keep up the posi...

Thursday, January 22, 2015. Bless you kind sir! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am just your average guy who has always had a yen for Ironman. I started seriously looking at triathlon in 2008 and I have never looked back. This blog was started to document my progress to Ironman 2010. Since then I have completed Ironman Canada and four 1/2 iron races and numerous other events. Then. for whatever reason, I started blogging again after a couple of year hiatus. go figure.
