Opinions and And Rectums,We All Got One! Sunday, July 25, 2010. I Hope You Liked My Smackdown Entry. Because it took 3rd in the State of Michigan BB-Q Cook-off in Vegetables! We didn't get skunked! We finished 28th out out of 48 teams overall, and were very happy with that! 5th in potatoes- 1/2 point out of third! Missed second in veggies by 1/2 point. More photos to follow in next post! It rained all Friday, making the field a muddy mess where nearly everybody got stuck at least once! Way to go, B.D!

August 30, 2014. I’m writing this from a room overlooking “my city.” Earlier tonight, the sun went down and turned the entire skyline rose-gold, a color that I’ve never seen in any other town but makes its presence known all over San Francisco on clear nights. This place, already magical and beautiful, becomes sparkling and otherworldly in that light. Again, I don’t think I have an answer yet. Living here will preserve the rosy glow. Here’s hoping. April 19, 2011. I leave for London a week from tomorrow and it dawned on me over the weekend that Im not going to have anything to wear while Im gone. Thats something that I say all the time, Wahhh, I dont have anything to weeeaaarrrr! But usually theres at least. So, yesterday I went on a shopping spree. Or, I mean, I. They should call it the Mrs. Roper. Collection. As for their dresses, I can see. Of the tablecloth I donated to charity last year after my cats shredded half of it. Also, I guess the Mrs.

Tending to the little urban garden Im growing on my porch (this is the first time Ive planted flower boxes and such, and the added color really gives me a boost when I sit out there and watch the summer sun rise and fall over Brooklyn.). Picnics with Drew and friends in Prospect Park. Visiting family and friends in Chicago and St. Louis next month. Road tripping upstate with friends for a country wedding. Not sucking in my belly at the beach. Quiet mornings on the porch with the cats.
