News, and a link | Irishdad's Blog
https://irishdad.wordpress.com/2010/01/06/news-and-a-link
A regular dad, dealing with the stillbirth of a baby girl. January 6, 2010. News, and a link. First: our friends baby, who was extremely sick, is now home and quite well! She’ll need a third operation between the age of 3 to 6 months but on the whole should be fine. Hooray for life. Second: This may warrant investigation, but I don’t think the following piece. In Time magazine on how Fa.cebook is changing the grieving process quite applies to the baby loss gang. Perhaps I’m wrong. Laquo; New Year. Oh yes...
Losing Kara: December 2011
http://losingkara.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
My life since losing my darling Kara at 37wks 3 days into my pregnancy. Thursday, December 29, 2011. Christmas 2011, minus one. Even now, the thought of that tiny table with three little names on the seating cards makes me sad and angry. She has been erased from this earth, but not from our family and never from my memory or my heart. I must say, M and Q were the best dressed of the guests (50 in all! Posted by Kara's Mom. An update | Irishdad's Blog
https://irishdad.wordpress.com/2009/12/28/an-update
A regular dad, dealing with the stillbirth of a baby girl. December 28, 2009. Just a quick update – our friends’ baby who has been extremely sick for about a week now, underwent a second operation yesterday as the doctors felt that without it they would not be able to take her off life support. She made it through the op, and now a further 24 hours have passed, so they hope to take her off the ventilator later today or tomorrow. Small steps, but in the right direction thankfully. A regular dad, dealing with the stillbirth of a baby girl. December 31, 2009. First up, our friends’ baby has taken a very positive turn and is off the ventilator. I say tentatively that she’s through the worst. Back to 2009, and I’m finding it hard to ‘define’ the year. On paper it has been the worst year of my life as I’ve been grieving the death of my daughter, but how can I reconcile that with the birth of a precious adorable third child? I don’t know. It. Been the worst of times. It. I think I’...
Birth Certs | Irishdad's Blog
https://irishdad.wordpress.com/2010/04/24/birth-certs
A regular dad, dealing with the stillbirth of a baby girl. April 24, 2010. I just came across an article from a couple of weeks ago, via a link in Twitter. It discusses a movement in Pennsylvania in the US to allow parents of stillborn children to have birth certs issued for them. Thought provoking stuff. We had a painful time registering the death. And see what you think. It certainly strikes me as unfortunate that the issue is so politicised and appears to be being hijacked by so many other parties.

A regular dad, dealing with the stillbirth of a baby girl. December 24, 2009. Not even a mouse. I haven’t posted much of late as I’ve been busy looking after Littleboy and my good wife, who came home from the hospital a couple of days after her section. In short, her parents and family have been landed in hell and there’s nothing they or anyone else can do but wait and hope that she’s strong enough to pull through. Finally, I wish you all the best this Christmas. Laquo; It’s a…. On December 25, 2009.

My life since losing my darling Kara at 37wks 3 days into my pregnancy. Sunday, June 5, 2011. 3 years of loss. Yesterday was 3 years since we lost Kara. Today was 3 years since her birth. The pain is still fresh I have days where I can sob as if it were yesterday. I grieve her as much today as I did 3 years ago when I learned of her death inside of me. Posted by Kara's Mom. My life since losing my darling Kara at 37wks 3 days into my pregnancy. Wednesday, December 15, 2010. 5 Month photos and update. The other thing is bedtime. They and I.LOVE our bedtime routine. Usually around 5:30pm we start bathtime, dress in our jammies and Sleepsacks and sing a few songs and read a few books. Then our bedtime book and bottles, and we are ASLEEP by 6pm! I vary this a little bit depending on how tired they both are. But usually this is our routine and we love it. Posted by Kara's Mom.
Losing Kara: February 2011
http://losingkara.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
My life since losing my darling Kara at 37wks 3 days into my pregnancy. Sunday, February 6, 2011. If I had to choose the best 'toy' we bought for them, it's definitely the Rainforest Jumperoos. They LOVE LOVE LOVE them. See smiling faces above. :-). When does this get better? But DH is still looking for work and our finances are very stressed. AND - I want another baby. Yes, I want one more child, so I'll have to wait on that belly reduction surgery. Posted by Kara's Mom. Links to this post.

A regular dad, dealing with the stillbirth of a baby girl. January 28, 2010. That’s the best way I can sum up how things have been over the past few weeks. Much of the chatter in my mind has calmed down since the baby was born. Sleep comes easier and runs deeper than it did for. All of last year. Our new baby is fantastic and we love her to bits. Her older brother is being great too with only a few accidental knees to the head and one finger biting incident to account for so far. Posted in New born.

My Butterfly Chronicles | … a place where change is anticipated!
8230; a place where change is anticipated! Do not be so consumed with the “storm” in your life that you miss seeing the rainbow. Remember, it all works together. Posted by Tanya J. On March 6, 2015 in Uncategorized. This past weekend, my seven year old daughter went ice skating for the first time for her friend’s birthday party. The night before she was both excited and anxious because she wasn’t sure what to expect. She had a million questions throughout the evening, such as:. What if I fall? We can’t c...
