The Daisy Field

Monday, 29 July 2013. If I could have spoken for the card I was working on I would imagine it saying “Ouch, what are you doing? I’m down to bare paper, who will want me now? He is the potter and we are the clay. Is this not what the Word tells us? Yes, it is. Let’s be honest, how many of us like being turned on the potter’s wheel? Yes, I thought so, not pleasant is it? Even the pain we have suffered He will shape into something that will be powerfully used to comfort and bless others. Have you not heard?

The Daisy Field: May 2012

http://www.mydaisyfield.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html

The Field is the Word of God. The daisies are individual scriptures. Pick some every day. Monday, 7 May 2012. And the Word of the Lord Came. I was reading in the gospel of Luke the other morning, skipping along through the text. A few words especially caught my eye, but in my endeavour to read more than a few lines, you know, at least read a whole chapter, I just kept on going, thinking I’ll go back and look at that later. Then I said to myself, what am I doing? Isn’t this the whole point? So often we ju...

The Field is the Word of God. The daisies are individual scriptures. Pick some every day. Monday, 26 September 2011. You know those emails that circulate at the office sometimes, or that friends post on social media from time to time – those sentimental stories? Well this is one I received this past week, and because it brought something to my remembrance of what I had personally walked through a few years ago, many years ago now, I wanted to share it and my story with you…. The minister was deeply moved...

The Daisy Field: The Picture...

http://www.mydaisyfield.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-picture.html

The Field is the Word of God. The daisies are individual scriptures. Pick some every day. Wednesday, 24 October 2012. We have heard the phrase "a picture is worth a thousand words". So true, one could write pages and find that a simple picture of the event would convey the same information. They could give a title for the picture and/or write what the picture spoke to them. I was amazed at what they 'saw'. Here are some of their thoughts:. Beauty among the ashes. Solidly planted and grounded. Rich damp e...

The Field is the Word of God. The daisies are individual scriptures. Pick some every day. Monday, 24 September 2012. In my scripture reading this morning I was reading along and was arrested by three little words. I often find when reading God's Word that what once seemed insignificant suddenly becomes significant. The Word never gets old does it? It is new and fresh every day and has such power to give us fresh insights for our own lives. So what were these three little words and where were they found?

The Daisy Field: August 2011

http://www.mydaisyfield.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html

The Field is the Word of God. The daisies are individual scriptures. Pick some every day. Thursday, 11 August 2011. Can you smell that? Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. To the one we are the aroma of death to death, and to the other the aroma of life to life. And note this amazing fact: through us.
