I did not run the Princess 1/2 this year - but only because it sold out within hours and I couldn't register! I am still running.ran 4 miles yesterday. I am not teaching this year - so I have LOTS of time to spend on my fitness! I still run a few times a week.but my new obsession is my Bootcamp class! Fort Myers, Florida.

My PAO Hip Surgery. Friday, 13 March 2009. Check-Up with Mr Apthorp - Short but Sweet. A couple of weeks ago for my four and a half month check up. He moved my legs around, asked about the physio, and whether I was happy I had had the PAO. Surgery. I was able to answer unequivocally 'yes'. I still can't believe I now lead a pain-free life. I asked a few questions about activity, and was then asked to have a chat with a 17-year old girl, due to have her PAO. Days It seems like such a long time ago now!

My PAO Hip Surgery. Friday, 12 March 2010. A Year since my last entry. I can't believe how time flies. I wanted to give an update for anyone considering the PAO surgery. I had my surgery October 08 and it is about eighteen months on from then. I can safely say now that I live a pain free life. The only lasting implications for me have been:. 1 Flexibility in my left hip is less than before and less than my right hip (but it is still within the normal range. 2 My left hip feels slightly tighter sometimes.

A Southern PAO Tale. Monday, September 1, 2008. Well it's been one week since the closing ceremonies in Beijing and I'm still bored. I didn't realize that these Olympics would get me over the hump that is my slow recovery from this RPAO. I watched everyday faithfully and it let me forget all that is aggravating. Anyways.as for my RPAO. Still only bearing 30lbs weight bearing. I sound and feel like a broken record. I'm doing all of my hip abduction/ flexion. Exercises and they are getting increasingly.

This is my story about living with hip dysplasia and recovering from periacetabular osteotomy surgery. Saturday, March 3, 2018. I had total hip replacement on March1st. I spent one night in the hospital and am home now recovering. The femoral head was very damaged and I don’t think the femoral osteotomy would have helped.
