OATS AND MARINAS GALLERY. I didn't grow up near boats and marinas and although I have no great interest in being out on the water, I like to wander around wharfs with there smells and sounds and boats with character. If you get some calm reflections, you end up painting the boat twice, once upside down, but the final result is worth it.

One of the greatest challenges for me as an artist is to paint people. Here are my attempts, mostly with family members as subjects. I play around in Photoshop to get some interesting graphics effects toi use in the paintings.

WINDOWS AND DOORS GALLERY. If you look at a window with a lot of panes, it's as if each pane is a separate abstract art project. As far as doors go, there are humble farm doors and magnificant cathedral doors. I like to paint stuff that has sunlight and shadows creating shapes.

I grew up in Winnipeg on the canadian prairies. I learned to appreciate old houses and barns and love the way sunlight and shadows add new dimension to almost any building. If you add snow to the scene, that's even better.

The third is Fishing on rough Seas it's inspired and for my Dad. I think that if he was out fishing on his canoe and rough waters started he'd just lay back and wait it out.
