Wesley and Leslies Nica Blog. December 24, 2009. Well, we finally made it back. We’ve been back for about three weeks now. When we first got back the temperature was in the 90s but now it’s cooled off to the 80s. Where we live now there’s always a breeze, so it’s nice. It was really nice getting out in service again here. We’ll be working in. Well, that’s about it for now. We hope everything is going well for everyone and hope to hear from you soon. Wesley and Leslies Nica Blog. December 27, 2012. December 27, 2012 - Volcán San Cristóbal. For now, other than the bother of sweeping several times a day, wetting the ground outside to keep the dust down, and taking a few showers a day, life continues as normal. We have our circuit overseer this week and are looking forward to seeing more new deaf attend this afternoon as many have this week off for the holiday. We will keep you up to speed but for now, things are interesting but not alarming. Well, that...

Wesley & Leslie's Nica Blog: January 2009
http://wesley-leslie.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Wesley and Leslies Nica Blog. January 15, 2009. Everything’s going well here. The temperature has finally leveled out and it averages about 85 degrees normally. It’ll stay that way until March when the temperature goes up about ten degrees or more. We haven’t had too many new encounters with the local wildlife. One day though, I was in the bathroom and kept hearing this scratching noise. Later that night Wes yelled for me to come outside. It didn’t drown but it couldn’t get back out. When tourists come to.

Wesley & Leslie's Nica Blog: February 2005
http://wesley-leslie.blogspot.com/2005_02_01_archive.html
Wesley and Leslies Nica Blog. February 18, 2005. Well, it’s been three months now and I think we just might be settled. One nice thing I discovered is that one of our neighbors bakes and sells bread every day. He makes these wonderful little rolls that always seem to be right out of the oven. You can get eight for about 10 cents. He also makes loafs of bread and sweet bread. If I could convince him to make a larger wheat loaf and then slice it, I’d be in heaven. And it was in ENGLISH. He’s going to...

http://wesley-leslie.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Wesley and Leslies Nica Blog. February 21, 2011. Well, we hope everyone is doing well. We had a busy couple of months. But things seem to be moving along well. We have a little over a month left before we leave. Things should be a little calmer now since we’ve had our C.O. visit and KM school. We'll be leaving just before the memorial campaign starts and things start to get busy again. And how do I know my prayers are acceptable to God? It's bad, he's with the Devil, right? 8220;But it's bad, right?

Wesley & Leslie's Nica Blog: November 2008
http://wesley-leslie.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Wesley and Leslies Nica Blog. November 12, 2008. Well, we finally made it back to. It’s been a 1 ½ years but we’re finally back. We arrived in. The middle of October. The house we arranged to have built was not quite done when we arrived. The biggest problem being there was no bathroom, just a small space where it should have been. So, after about 2 weeks of waiting and then work, we now have a very nice bathroom that’s just needs a couple of coats of paint. There were so many accents. It seemed like...

Wesley & Leslie's Nica Blog: November 2006
http://wesley-leslie.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Wesley and Leslies Nica Blog. November 1, 2006. Wes and I are back in Nicaragua and doing well. We’re at the end of the rainy season. It’s a little cooler but very humid. We’ve been back for about a month and are pretty settled and back in a routine now. It was nice to see Alfredo attend the Memorial earlier this year and for the first time observe how a large group of deaf interact…they even gave him his name in signs since he never had one. What is a name-sign? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). You know you ...

http://wesley-leslie.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Wesley and Leslies Nica Blog. March 30, 2009. Wes and I are doing well. We’re starting to wrap things up here in. The drama was AWESOME it was done just like a real movie. I think we’ve almost caught up to the level of the ASL dramas. I was very proud. Sign language has come so far since Wes and I first starting helping out in 2004. During the assembly we had our good friend Manuela visiting us from. She was here for a little over three weeks. She used to live here in. Who came back to. And have been in.

http://wesley-leslie.blogspot.com/2005_01_01_archive.html
Wesley and Leslies Nica Blog. January 3, 2005. Well, one month has passed and Wes and I haven’t melted yet. The weather actually hasn’t been that bad. Some days are cooler than others with a breeze. I’m trying to enjoy it and not think that the worst of the dry season is yet to come. At the dedication of the branch on December 5. There were over 35,000 in attendance. The whole country was invited and the staduim was packed full. One by the branch representative from Britain and one from Bro. Herd (sp?
