Your N/a’an ku sê Cheetah Update: Fi and cubs - April 2012

http://naankuse-cheetahs.blogspot.com/2012/04/fi-and-cubs-april-2012.html

N/a’an ku sê Adopt a Cheetah Blog. Tuesday, 24 April 2012. Fi and cubs - April 2012. Fi and her 3 cubs remain very evasive in the temporary holding camps, which we're pleased about as their natural instincts to fear humans remain in tact. As such it's very rare we catch a glimpse of them, but when we do they look very healthy and in good condition. Clearly Mummy Fi is doing a very good job raising her babies. Carnivore Conservation Research Update

Carnivore Conservation Research Update. Thursday, June 21, 2012. Rescue and release of a Brown Hyena. January a group of volunteers and our head researcher Flo Weise collected a brown hyena from a farm in Otjompaue. A few calves had been bitten and a few killed on the farm. Having noticed hyena tracks around, the farmer set up a trap. He caught it successfully but didn’t want to kill it, so gave us a call. The hyena was female and old (between 7-9 years old). The Release of Tyson, the leopard. Tyson was ...

Life on the Farm

Life on the Farm. Thursday, March 29, 2012. The event of the year on our farm happened in November, when one of the meerkats had three babies  . Underneath the tools container! At the beginning, the little babies only poked their heads out around 6pm when it was cooler. Mommy would then pick them up by the back of their necks with her mouth and pull them back under to their “den”. . Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Scarlett the vervet monkey. Sunday, January 15, 2012. Fly into a brighter future. At the end o...
