The Adventures of a Girl and Her Dog. Saturday, April 16, 2011. I Love My Mom and I Miss Her. April 11th marked the three-year anniversary of my mom's passing. It's hard to believe that it's been that long, and yet some of the memories of that time are so vivid. I don't like thinking about that last day and how helpless I felt but I know it helps me to heal as I process it all. So, this is mostly for me than for anyone else. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Adventures of a Girl and Her Dog. Wednesday, December 10, 2008. Today is my Mom's birthday. She would have been 65. I just want to tell Mom that I love her and I'm grateful that even though she's not here I know she's with me. I feel her still encouraging me and every so often I feel even feel her hugs, but it's just not the same as the real thing! She is still such a huge part of our lives an her presence is felt.
