Life According to Kim. Wednesday, August 4, 2010. I Won't Get Whooping Cough. But the vaccination is kicking my butt! I wasn't planning on getting the shot, but the doctor recommended it because one of her patients has it and they want high risk patients who go through their office to get vaccinated. So now Cory and I are up-to-date for our TB/Whooping Cough vaccines, but I feel like I have a bad flu! The pain is more bearable, but I feel like sleeping. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Life According to Kim. Tuesday, July 20, 2010. On Sunday it was BEAUTIFUL weather in San Diego, so Cory and I wanted to do something different. We knew the beaches were too busy, being summertime and all. and out of no where. Cory suggests the UCSD Birch Aquarium! Of course, I found a coupon in my Entertainment book, so it was all of $12 for the both of us! Cory had a blast looking at all the fishes and I had a blast getting some gentle exercising for my body :O) Here are some pictures from our adventure!

Life According to Kim. Thursday, July 29, 2010. Cory and I had a rather funny conversation tonight. I was explaining to him how a tampon works (it was a completely PG explanation, by the way). And his only comment was, "Oh, the poor string. It's got to be the worst use of a good piece of string." I replied, "What do you mean, 'poor string? He replies, "Well, when it gets made, it's wondering, 'Wow, I wonder what kind of string I'm going to be. Maybe a kite string! But no, it's used in a tampon!

I guess two hyphens in my legal name is too confusing for people! And part of my last name is still in-pronounceable! It's gonna be a long-rest-of-my-life with this name! Life According to Kim. Wednesday, December 9, 2009. Ok, so it's not snowing like it is in Texas, but it's feeling pretty chilly! I had to run my heater for the first time this winter! O) Of course the cold weather was brought by our first winter "storm". It's not like the Texas storms. but the winds were gusting 50 mph! Even on the coast! Ironically, he was getting sleepy on the way home! Good thing I was there to keep him up! Monday, December 7, 2009. So I haven't posted about our Thanksgiving holiday!

Life According to Kim. Here are some favorite recipes from my house :O ). Most, if not all, are low fat/low sodium versions! 1 can of black beans (or kidney, pinto, black-eyed etc.), drained and rinsed. 1 can of corn, drained. 3 tomatoes, diced. 2 bunches of green onion, diced. 1/2 an onion, diced. 2 avocados, diced. 1 garlic clove (ideally minced, but at least chopped). 1/2 can of black olives (optional). 1/4 cup olive oil. 1/4 cup red wine vinegar. Pinch of salt and pepper. 3 cloves garlic, minced.
