Now it's learning the knots to tie the mono-filament to the braid. I see the Yucatan knot is quite popular. I will keep you posted on how the fishing went at Terrace Bay. Galjoen like rocky areas and sandbanks where they can feed on worms, mussels and small crustaceans. The are territory bound and tend stay in a area for a long time. Be prepared to lose some sinkers. :-). What is your experience with Galjoen? Below is a nice size one caught 2014/03/24. March 31, 2014 at 5:33 AM.

We did not have any big Kob run's but there was plenty of other species caught. I got a 9.6KG Steenbras on fresh octopus. I will post the image as soon as I get it of my dad's phone.
