NCGLNAC was founded to preserve the rich cultural heritage of the Native peoples of the Great Lakes area. We believe a strong cultural identity is important for Native people today, and that Great Lakes Native culture is of value for all people regardless of ancestry. Since it was founded in May, 2001, NCGLNAC has organized regular events to preserve and promote Native culture through workshops and other activities.
