Nearly Insane Quilts: Block 7

http://nearlyinsanequilts.blogspot.com/2009/03/block-7.html

Monday, March 2, 2009. This block starts off with many many squares. Waiting to be turned into. Half-square triangles and flying geese. I then put together the funky centre square-in-a-square block. Then the middle border. And finally the outer flying geese. Here you have it, another block finished. Though this one is a little darker than the others. I was hoping for an easier one this week. Nearly Insane Quilts: Block 6

http://nearlyinsanequilts.blogspot.com/2008/11/block-6.html

Sunday, November 16, 2008. Another week, another block. This one is a fairly simple one. There is an almost log cabin centre for an Ohio square block. Once again, for the flying geese, I used the fast flying geese. Just like last week, you pull your centre together (though a simpler one for us this week) and with your flying geese. You, once again, get our friend the 9-patch. Put together the 9-patch and tada. Next week we tackle our 10 th. I was hoping for an easy this week. :). Elke dag een steekje?

Nearly Insane Quilts: Block 12

http://nearlyinsanequilts.blogspot.com/2009/07/block-12.html

Sunday, July 26, 2009. Here is our next block all laid out and ready to go. The bundle of squares at the top right are cut ready to turn into 1/2 square triangles. Here is the block after the first round of piecing. I've done the 1/2 square triangles and have begun piecing the centre 16-patch and attaching the strips for the outer border. Here is the centre assembled. The border strips are together as well. (And fortunately not too wonky :) Can you see that the block is now a 9-patch. Square-in-a-Square ...

Nearly Insane Quilts: Block 25

http://nearlyinsanequilts.blogspot.com/2010/10/block-25.html

Sunday, October 24, 2010. Here is our next block set out and ready to go. Apparently I was neglectful with the photos on this one. Here everything is set out with the corner and centre square-in-a-square. Blocks, the 1/2 square triangles. Here the paper piecing has been completed and trimmed to size. I've attached the centre square-in-a-square to the flying geese. I've also started working on the 1/2 square triangles for the next border and outer border. And here is our completed block.

Created by Blue Cat. A log of my quilting endeavors. Wednesday, February 20, 2013. One Flower Wednesday x2. We have had a very sick household here. 3 trips to the doctor and 2 emergency room trips has made a dent in my schedule and life in general. If there is an upside to this, I have gotten a lot of hand sewing done waiting for all of these appointments. Here are my 2 flowers (one from last week and one from this week). Monday, February 14, 2011. Building Blocks - Line Diagrams. Over the years of doing Nearly Insane. I've had a few questions asking me how I figure out what to cut. I chose not to provide dimensions for the blocks I was doing since that would mean you didn't need to buy the book and I figure that violates the copy right. So, instead I'm doing a tutorial on how I figure it out. The Centre of this block (picture below) is a 3" finished (3 1/2" unfinished) square made up of 9 squares that are each 1" finished.
