The photo below is of the kick plate at the bottom of the cabinet. No, I didn't forget to paint it, it's rubber! I can see the people who build this house saying, "yeah, we'd like rubber kick plates on all the cabinets in wet areas". Yep, every bathroom too. Here's a close up of the monstrosity. Complete with hair and fuzz. Next we removed the vinyl. Corey used his circular saw to cut sections out instead of trying to peel it all out. Then we added the backer board. Ugly stuff hiding behind the door.

I can hear all of you right now "AWWWW". Right? Here's the email chain between Corey and me. When is that dog available? He's ready now. The breeder has another litter that's ready in 3 weeks or so. They have to be eating well before he lets them go. They're about an hour away. They're the ones with all the champion gun dogs or whatever. :). He's pretty cute. Why has someone not snagged him already? Probably cause he's demented! We'd go check him out and see if he is aggressive or a freak though. Colorin...

1 C brown sugar. 1 stick of butter. 1/4 C karo syrup. Mix the above and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add 1/2 t vanilla. And 1/2 t baking soda. Let that stand for 5 minutes. Pour over 6-7 cups of popcorn (I use about 3 microwave bags full-I don't bother with popping it fresh and don't care if it's movie theater butter kind either). Spread the coated popcorn out on a baking sheet or jelly roll pan. Bake at 200 for an hour stirring once halfway through. Links to this post. Six Word Love Stories.

I knew I was behind, but WOW! I never documented our vacation from 2 years ago. Oh well, it helps feel better about being so lame and not going on a trip this summer. No, not really. I still feel lame. There was just no time. This summer was our busiest yet. YW camp, Scout camp, Band camp, Cub camp, Volleyball camps and tryouts and Drivers Ed! Okay, so back to a fun summer vacation 2 years ago. Rest stop on the way to South Carolina. We headed to the beach as soon as we got there. I guess Keller was hot.
