Back Shed and Lot. This is walking in from the garage. This hallway will serve as a 'mudroom'. The door on the left is another entrance from the driveway. On the right side of the hallway is an office, a coat closet, laundry room, and basement door. From the living room you step down one step to the family room.

Life in the country! Occasional insight into the lives of our family of four. Monday, June 20, 2011. We left Friday morning at 5 AM and headed to Minneapolis. Alice slept in the car for the first couple hours, which made the trip go fast. We got into the city by about 8:00 and stopped for breakfast at The Colossal Cafe, a tiny little neighborhood cafe. Life in the country! Occasional insight into the lives of our family of four. Wednesday, September 21, 2011. Alice's first day with full pigtails. Alice has been having a lot of fun swimming in her pool in the backyard. She loves laying on her tummy and kicking her feet and blowing bubbles. Alice has finally decided that getting her picture taken is fun and now makes BIG Cheesy smiles for the camera. Alice and Anna with Grandma Roose. Jameson and his dad did some fishing and caught several large fish.

We got the fair about 9:00 and went to the petting zoo first. Alice enjoyed identifying the animals and feeding a few. Alice and daddy feeding the goats. Life in the country! Occasional insight into the lives of our family of four. Friday, March 16, 2012. Alice has taken an interest in folding laundry now. (Previously she just helped identify who each item belonged to.) She started with washcloths and can now also do hand towels, her and Anna's pants and helps match some of the socks. I think her favorite part of laundry day is playing in her 'boat' a.k.a. the laundry basket. Our precious little Anna! We had AMAZINGLY beautiful weather for Spring break...

Life in the country! Occasional insight into the lives of our family of four. Saturday, August 27, 2011. Garden produce- first big pick of cucumbers. The second Sunday after Anna was born, Jordan, Joy, TImothy, Arie, and Lydia came to meet Anna. Aunt Joy, Lydia, and Arie meeting Anna. Jameson and Timothy had fun climbing one of the trees in our front yard. Jameson giving Anna her first bottle (practice for her baby shower the next day). Life in the country! Occasional insight into the lives of our family of four. Monday, September 24, 2012. Roose Camping Trip '12 (5th Annual). Lacey Keosauqua State Park (Southeast IA). Brief summary: Arrived Wednesday night and set up came in time for a late supper. Thursday was rainy (mostly sprinkles) almost all day. We had lunch at a shelter, went into town to a general store for part of the afternoon, and the rain let up just enough to roast hot dogs for supper. Friday was gorgeous! A Year in Review.
