Skip to main content. Artificial neural tissue grower. This page describes software for generating connectivity volumes. The aim is to generate artificial EM-level volume data for testing algorithms for performing automated reconstruction of connectivity. This picture shows a raytraced version of the connectivity. After generating the initial connectivity, an update algorithm forms clumps. This picture is a short animation - reload to see it again. A strong repulsive force to stop overlaps.

Skip to main content. This page includes an optimised version of a java program by Ding, Fan (fan at cs.wisc.edu) used for semi-automatically detecting outlines of synapses in EM images. It uses a fast marching / level set algorithm, so the output is a slice through a 3D surface / height field rather than a vanilla line. J Sethian's web site.
