Goodness . . . is everyone else busy too? I'm so proud of my girls! It probably help...

The day in the life of a high school History teacher. Saturday, August 07, 2010. Survived AP boot camp :=). I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the AP Institute training at St. Johnsbury Academy in Vermont. It was intense! A lot of reading and processing. But, they also kept you busy with fun activities after classes such as hikes in the mountains, kayaking, tours of local wineries, etc. And the food . . . OH MY GOODNESS! I did something right. :-). The fun part begins . . . I've started ...This has ...

The day in the life of a high school History teacher. Saturday, December 05, 2009. Interdisciplinary Unit on the Holocaust. The English teacher and I started teaching the Holocaust unit to the transition students on Monday. For the literature piece, students are reading the graphic novels Maus I. By Art Spiegelman. I highly recommend these novels! There are so great teaching activities on these fantastic novels:. Maus in the Classroom. Random House Teaching Guide for Maus I. Movies about the Holocaust:.

M-Dawg's Blog: June 2010

http://nhsteacher.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html

The day in the life of a high school History teacher. Wednesday, June 30, 2010. Doing some SERIOUS reading this summer . . . I'd like to call this post: The Summer of Reading. Why? Because I'm reading a lot of AP European History materials. I'm also trying to get some "relaxing" reading thrown in as well. There wasn't much downtime this past school year for me to read for leisure and I missed it. Reading for me is the best feeling in the world. Relaxing. Serene. Peaceful. What are you reading this summer?

The day in the life of a high school History teacher. Saturday, July 24, 2010. AP Institute Training in Vermont. Starting on Sunday, I will be attending a five day AP Institute Training at St. Johnsbury Academy in Vermont for my AP Euro History class. I have heard positive feedback from other teachers that have done the AP training in Vermont so I'm looking forward to a great experience. And, the instructor will be giving us free AP textbooks! I come home Friday evening, have the weekend to wash clothes ...

Robyn, shawn, conman, and the grades. Friday, July 29, 2005. They are just too sweet! Here are the boys this past June at Nana's. I can't believe that Grady was able to sit still long enough for me to take this picture! Ughit was hot in Disney this time around. Conner did love seeing his ladies again, though! Grady thoroughly enjoyed the beach. He's become quite the sand and rock connoisseur. Pappy, Shawn, Grady, Conner, and Pappy Johnson. Born to be wild! Do you have your tickets? Me and my guys! The Johnson Family: September 2005

http://conmanandthegrades.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html

Robyn, shawn, conman, and the grades. Friday, September 30, 2005. It's been a long September. Well, not really. The month has really flown by and this fall isn't showing signs of moving any more slowly. Funny how life does that. I once heard that time seems to move so slow when you are young because, for instance, a year to a two year old is half of their life. As we age, so the ratio changes thus the perceived passing of time changes as well. Posted by Robyn J at 3:12 PM. Tuesday, September 27, 2005.

The Johnson Family: October 2005

http://conmanandthegrades.blogspot.com/2005_10_01_archive.html

Robyn, shawn, conman, and the grades. Monday, October 31, 2005. We've already been trick-or-treating up here in New England. For some reason, our town does Halloween the Sunday before from 1-4 so we had a trick-or-treat party yesterday. The kids all had a great time - 14 in all! A few of the older ones, Conner included, went over to a neighboring development for round 2 after sorting through the loot gathered in our neighborhood. Ah, to be a kid on Halloween (or any holiday for that matter! This is what ...

The Johnson Family: February 2006

http://conmanandthegrades.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html

Robyn, shawn, conman, and the grades. Saturday, February 25, 2006. Yes, that's right.one more week until we hit the beach! Conner has been working on his drawing a lot more and drawing what he sees rather than what he knows. This is a concept my high school students often times had a difficult time grasping. What a little genius he is! Have a great week. I doubt I'll be able to post birthday pics before we leave so you'll just have to wait until we return! Posted by Robyn J at 11:33 AM. If God is a DJ.

http://conmanandthegrades.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html

Robyn, shawn, conman, and the grades. Wednesday, December 21, 2005. Let the games begin! I got back from the gym today totally wiped out and in need of a nap. Shawn was very sweet to make dinner and then took the boys upstairs while I laid down, only to wake up 4 hours later! This is the second annual meal so I'm hoping it continues as a tradition - it's so important to spend holidays with others. I should say hello to my personal blog fan club, Ali from Treloar and Heisel, and, of course, Ashley! Philad...
