Add yeast, stir to dissolve. Stir in flour, salt (soda) until well blended. Knead until smooth, about 1 minute. Let rest 10 minutes. Place dough on 12 inch pizza pan. Sunday, March 10, 2013. 1/4 c granulated sugar. 11/2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp baking soda. 1 shake of nutmeg. 1 tsp malt powder. 1 tsp buckwheat flour. 1 tbsp veg oil (if making waffles). Mix dry ingredients well in large bowl; add eggs, buttermilk, vanilla and oil; mix well; griddle cook (or waffle iron) @ 250 degrees F. The same mix is used for waffles by adding veg oil. Mix dry ingredients well; use pastry cutter to cut in Crisco before adding buttermilk; knead on counter then roll to 1/2" thick; cut with cookie cutter; bake @ 450 degrees F x 15 min on ungreased cookie sheet;. 1 tbsp cocoa powder. Sunday, March 10, 2013. This is a side dish fit for the desert menu. 1/4 c masa harina. 1/3 c white granulated sugar. 2 c frozen whole-kernel corn, thawed. 1 tsp baking powder. Mix butter, masa, sugar with pastry cutter until fluffy;. Blend 1 c of corn, water, and cornmeal in food processor until smooth; stir into masa/sugar mixture along with remaining corn, baking powder, salt and milk until smooth;. Pour into double boiler, steam for 50 minutes until firm. Serve in scoops as side.

Sunday, December 1, 2013. Alfredo Sauce for Gnocchi appetizer. 2 cups heavy cream. 1½ cups freshly grated parmesan cheese. 2 Tbsp chopped fresh Italian parsley. Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. In a large sauté pan, heat the butter and cream over medium-low heat until it starts to bubble.
