The venue was absolutely packed with punters eager to get their hands on some handmade goodness. At one point on the Friday night, there was even a queue to get in the door! The organisers ( St Giles. Estimate that we had over 6000. People came through over the two-day event which is amazing! Christmas Craft and Food Market. Off to get crafty!

Sunday, 10 April 2011. Although we try to keep this blog fairly positive, I (Cliff) felt like a whinge. I'm sure that a lot of the bloggers on here that make and create can sympathise with my feelings at the moment. It is so frustrating that people don't realise the time and effort that goes into some of the work we all do. The chair in the last posted pic that I was working on, took over two hours just to strip! That's before the repairs, the strengthening, the sanding and refinishing! Cliff & matt.

I got a nice surprise the other day when I succumbed to my current magazine addiction (it's to do with the mistaken belief that I'll get to sit quietly with a coffee! And found my Mum's cousin in a two page feature. She's Barbara Heath. An amazingly talented jeweller based in Brisbane and isn't she gorgeous? Such a stunning photo. Friday, October 22. Here are a few recent secondhand store/market scores. It's no wonder I feel surrounded by clutter - I have this need to collect. 1970s huon pine armchairs. They have leather backs and bases. I will eventually cover the cushions with charcoal or maybe a more modern chocolate brown fabric. Eventually. The old fabric goes well with yoghurt spills!
