A client refurbishing a church came to us looking for ideas for a new staircase linking the existing ground floor with the new first second floor levels. Given the context of a Victorian church our initial response was for a modern intervention to contrast strongly with the existing architecture. The garden was designed as an extension of the interior entertaining space complete with white rendered walls to reflect maximise available natural light. Sunday, 30 March 2014. The substantial extension and refurbishment of a flat in Hampstead is all but complete - click on any image for a full screen preview. Tuesday, 7 January 2014. The second phase of a refurbishment of a client's study in Hampstead was completed today - as a surprise birthday present so timing was critical. Phase One involved the extension of an existing balcony - inwards rather than outwards to avoid planning and structural issues and the creation of illuminated vitrines to house the owner's collection of racing car memorabilia and Leica cameras. Aspects of the new joinery elements conceal the printer and a new drinks fridge.
