A History of St Mawes SC. Boat Builds and Refits. In 1965, 43 vessels which had taken part in the evacuation commemorated the 25th anniversary by crossing from Ramsgate to Dunkirk, and the Association of Dunkirk Little Ships was formed soon afterwards. A further fifty years on, over 120 Little Ships are still in commission and it is thought that hundreds of others may still survive. This is their story. Nigel Sharman was born in Somerset in 1965. He attended Brighton College of Art and then worked as a designer in New York before returning to the UK. Nigel's work, mainly in oils, reflects his love for the West Country and the places he has known from Penwith to the Jurassic Coast.
