February's blocks. Jennilyn's is the first one and Kathy's on the bottom. I made the orange one with blue stripes. Hope you are enjoying this beautiful weather! MD, United States.

The Bloggers Quilt Festival. A Wonky Log Cabin. Tuesday, October 30, 2012. I saw this piece of art at Target last year and really liked it but didn't like the $80.00 price tag. I took a picture with my cell and thought I would try to make my own. Here is the finished art work hanging in my family room. I bought a 3 foot long, 12 inch wide piece of pine at Home Depot. My husband cut it into three pieces and that was all I did until this week! Here they are together before I hung them up. One of the fabric...

Always Sew Love: April 2013
http://alwayssewlove.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 22, 2013. I decided to ask my director at the school where I work if I could get the children involved with my charity quilt. She said YES! The children are so excited! We talked about the organization that we were going to make the quilt for - Happy Chemo. I started with a huge tree on a light blue background and made "grass" with a couple of frogs hiding throughout. After the children wrote their names they were able to place their 'leaf' where ever they wanted on the quilt.

Updated with 2012-2013 Curriculum! Math: We're using Teaching Textbooks 3 for my second grader, and TT4/5 for my fourth grader. Pre-k kiddo is doing as much of the Singapore Kindergarten book as he finds appealing. Also supplementing with Daily Mental Math, because my kids are arithmetic-challenged. English/LA: Writing with Ease, First Language Lessons, and Spelling Workout. Literature will come from history studies. Social Studies: Story of the World Volume 1. I could NOT be more excited about this.

Cloth Chronicles: May 2010

Monday, May 17, 2010. This might not be the most intricate page I have done, but it's definitely the most fun I've had after finishing a page! It's all because of the googly eyes! I made them out of some baby food jar lids and packaging from some scrapbook embellishments. The button 'pupils' move around whenever the page is moved and I seriously can't stop shaking the page! Of course I want to share all the fun I'm having! So I'm including a small tutorial at the end of the post. Now to the fun part.
