Wednesday, March 22, 2006. I've finished at both elementary schools now. I will start working in two junior high schools, early April. These pictures are from my last day at Edogawa:. Thursday, July 17, 2008. Change. After careful consideration, I decided to return to the United States and so this will be my last post on The Tokyo Experience. Looking back on my time in Japan concisely, I can say that it was exactly what it needed to be. I had the chance to spend time with my family, make some new lifelong friends, learn the basics of the language/culture and gain invaluable work and life experiences. Monday, November 27, 2006. I'm excited about the opportunities for the future and at the same time, grateful for the past experiences I've had. I really enjoyed working in the schools and having the chance to learn about Japanese culture first hand. I will miss the smiles and energy of the kids I've been teaching and will always be thankful for the realization of the great responsibility we have for future generations. Thursday, May 11, 2006. This is one week late, I'm catching my breath. Golden Week is one of the biggest holidays in Japan. I was able to meet members of my family that I had no memory of. Kindness and deep reflections saturated the atmosphere as we flipped through books of memories. I'm left thankful and with a hint of understanding about our family's history. I was able to sit in the same garden that my mother grew up with. I sat and said a short prayer, to let her know that I had finally arrived.

Thursday, July 17, 2008. Change. After careful consideration, I decided to return to the United States and so this will be my last post on The Tokyo Experience. Looking back on my time in Japan concisely, I can say that it was exactly what it needed to be. Wednesday, June 2, 2010. Today I'm going to talk about cherry blossom, my most favorite flower. Since it's a popular flower due to its beauty, we can see it around the world. In Brazil, I could have never seen it. It's because cherries need a certain amount of cold in order to bloom. In US many people visit to see it blooming. It's very fabulous.
