In Search of a Title: October 2013
http://sebtown294.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
In Search of a Title. I am always in search of something. What did I discover today? Monday, October 7, 2013. Away from work, I still function well. I do what I am supposed to be doing but, in the same moment, I am questioning everything. Well, not everything. I have a family that gives me all that I need (both family of origin and family I created). We do have our moments but really? The whole thing sounds so weirdly cosmic. Yeah, I don't have words for it. I'll see what happens next. Is this the middle?

In Search of a Title: Got It!
http://sebtown294.blogspot.com/2013/07/got-it.html
In Search of a Title. I am always in search of something. What did I discover today? Tuesday, July 2, 2013. There IS one thing on my bucket list. I fooled you (although not intentionally). I have always wanted to live at the beach and, before I die, I would like to make good on that. But, here's the creative part. Who says "living at the beach" has to mean relocating and living all day every day at the beach? How about if I were to really live at the beach for, say, one month a year? Having lived near th...

In Search of a Title: Bucket Lists
http://sebtown294.blogspot.com/2013/06/bucket-lists.html
In Search of a Title. I am always in search of something. What did I discover today? Friday, June 28, 2013. I don't have one. A bucket list, that is. You know, like in that movie The Bucket List. Jack Nicholson, Morgan Freeman? Old guys trying to do the things they want to do before they "kick the bucket"? Going to be what I want in six months or a year, let alone in ten years. I guess you can make the list and change it a lot but what exactly is the point of the bucket list? Do you have a bucket list?

In Search of a Title: To Be Human
http://sebtown294.blogspot.com/2013/06/to-be-human.html
In Search of a Title. I am always in search of something. What did I discover today? Sunday, June 9, 2013. I know a man who occasionally makes comments like this: "We humans are like that" or "We're human, right? I am curious. What do you think it means to be human? June 10, 2013 at 2:40 AM. The first image that came to mind when you posed the question What do you think it means to be human? June 10, 2013 at 8:20 AM. June 10, 2013 at 5:34 AM. June 10, 2013 at 8:22 AM. Absolutely - to be human is to be fl...

In Search of a Title: Tastes the Same
http://sebtown294.blogspot.com/2013/07/tastes-same.html
In Search of a Title. I am always in search of something. What did I discover today? Monday, July 1, 2013. The sea is nothing but a library of all the tears in history.". Okay, I'm putting it right out there. All of my life I have been afraid of tears. They say I am weak. They say there is something wrong with me. Buck up, baby. Show nothing lest you be seen. Lately I've been thinking that I might want to change the rule. Maybe tears actually signal strength? I'm with you, I'm lonely too. I wanna get it ...

In Search of a Title: Fast and Slow
http://sebtown294.blogspot.com/2013/07/fast-and-slow.html
In Search of a Title. I am always in search of something. What did I discover today? Thursday, July 11, 2013. Recently I had cause to return to this notion of taking slow to grow. Oddly, what occurred to me is that it isn't just kids who need slow in order to grow. We adults often need the same thing to reach new places in our lives. The current culture is jammed with activity and expectations. Days go by fast. How many balls can we juggle? How many things can we check off our to do lists? The world has ...

In Search of a Title: On the Bench
http://sebtown294.blogspot.com/2012/09/on-bench.html
In Search of a Title. I am always in search of something. What did I discover today? Thursday, September 20, 2012. Uber cool. Always dressed comfortably and just kinda rocking out, willing to take on whatever came her way. To Chillin's left was the one I thought of as Ms Sociability. That woman had the sparkliest eyes. She engaged every person who walked by, she was so open and, clearly, so much fun! I LOVED watching and listening to her. Could they have died? I am just going to have to watch these two n...

In Search of a Title: The Implied Contract
http://sebtown294.blogspot.com/2013/07/the-implied-contract.html
In Search of a Title. I am always in search of something. What did I discover today? Tuesday, July 16, 2013. In a previous blog post. I introduced my readers to Dr. Gordon Livingston, a psychiatrist and writer. I had enjoyed his recent book The Thing You Think You Cannot Do. And wanted to pass along some of his observations of the psychotherapeutic process. And what choice do I have anyway? What do you think? Does the implied contract about sound familiar to you? Is it one you would take as is? July 16, ...

In Search of a Title: In Your Own Skin
http://sebtown294.blogspot.com/2013/07/in-your-own-skin.html
In Search of a Title. I am always in search of something. What did I discover today? Wednesday, July 3, 2013. In Your Own Skin. Skin - interesting stuff. It's the largest organ in the body. It has several essential functions, including protecting the muscles, bones, ligaments and other organs. Skin serves as a barrier, preventing pathogens from getting in and excessive fluids from escaping. It separates the inner and the outer world. Did she dress and look right (whatever the current "right" was)? The ho...
