Aspettare – A Nomadic Passeggiata
https://nomadicpasseggiata.wordpress.com/2015/07/08/aspettare
Al and Sandy see the world. July 8, 2015. In which we are Waiting…. And then… and then… nothing actually happens. You have to keep on waiting. For an indeterminate period of time. We know we’re going to need to practice flexibility for the upcoming years, but right now it’s hard to not know what we’re doing AT ALL because we’re at the mercy of the local housing market and drop in gas-drilling this year (apparently). We’re in the 11th month, and ready to have this darn baby already! July 9, 2015 at 7:11 am.

February 2015 – A Nomadic Passeggiata
https://nomadicpasseggiata.wordpress.com/2015/02
Al and Sandy see the world. February 21, 2015. Moving to the world. Yes, that’s right… We’re moving from our home of 25 years in Western Pennsylvania, selling or giving away pretty much everything we own, and taking our show on the road! Here’s how our conversation went last July as we stood along the banks of the Potomac in Georgetown drinking wine and watching the boats:. Al: You know, this is really nice… Wouldn’t it be great to live in interesting cities like this all the time? Al: Me, too!
Exhausted – A Nomadic Passeggiata
https://nomadicpasseggiata.wordpress.com/2015/04/26/exhausted
Al and Sandy see the world. April 26, 2015. In which we put our house on the market…. We’ve been so busy since our last post! As you may recall, we were beginning a month ago to work on getting rid of cluttery stuff. Since that time, we’ve…. 8230;had a home inspection – on our dime, to uncover anything we needed to be aware of – and Al took care of fixing the issues, which were mainly wiring and roofing related. Office before – Den after. This is something we probably should’ve done years ago! It looks l...
SandyU – A Nomadic Passeggiata

Al and Sandy see the world. April 26, 2016. Mural on the grocery store. Live Oak is on the Eastern side of Santa Cruz. It was a bit disorienting at first, imagining a city on the west coast of the US having an East End and a West End. But if you look at a map, Santa Cruz’ beaches actually face about due south, on the huge expanse of Monterey Bay. We’ve seen some really creative yards on our walks…. I was of course working all day every weekday, but I did now and then work from Coffeetopia. 8211; pretty m...

Where have the days gone? A way to remember…. Here, there, and anywhere…. April 22, 2016. In honor of Earth Day, I thought I’d share some of my favorite photos I’ve taken of this wonderful planet…. Mt Ngauruhoe, an active volcano on New Zealand’s North Island. This photo was taken in November 2008, while trekking the 20km Tongariro Crossing. A truly amazing hike. You may recognize it as Mt Doom in the Lord of the Rings movies, and much of the surrounding landscape is quite Mordor-esque. So, kind of a ran...

Where have the days gone? A way to remember…. SharePoint Saturday DC – Reston 2014. This earth →. March 28, 2015. The Nomadic Pair
About The Nomadic Pair. What to Eat in Central Asia. Central Asian food like Uzbek, Kyrgyz or Kazakh cuisine is something you don’t usually encounter abroad not even in big cities. Nomadic Patriot
Math, Books, Life. I am terrible at math. The only ‘C’ I ever received in college was in my construction estimating class. This is bitterly ironic given that my current career position as a Government Negotiator requires me to deal almost solely in numbers; Japanese Yen to be exact. Because my work involves financing US government projects in foreign currency, numbers… Read More Math, Books, Life. December 2, 2016. Perhaps Veteran’s Day Couldn’t Have Come at a Better Time. Nomadic Pawprints: Tracks, Trails and Tails | The tails and adventures of a gypsy and two dogs with wanderlust
Nomadic Pawprints: Tracks, Trails and Tails. The tails and adventures of a gypsy and two dogs with wanderlust. Weather, Skies and Sunsets. Johnson Creek Loop…or that’s what I’m calling it! And the Elk Lake Loop. September 23, 2016. September 23, 2016. I had grander ideas in mind than the trails would allow today. Looking east along French Creek; the trail went below the cliffs in the background. My only water source…kinda unpleasant! I didn’t care. After pulling water from the creek (pre-filtering) we ca...
