Born In Gulfport Mississippi. College at University of Southern Mississippi (go Eagles). United States air force veteran. Guitar player for about 16 years. So It all started when I saw a picture of an old blues musician playing a cigar box with a stick in it. I knew right then I wanted to try it. I threw one together. What a piece!

There are numerous ways to tune a 3 string or 4 string guitar. There is a host of electric and online tuners available and they can help you find that hard to reach note. However keep in mind when trying to match the sound of an online tuner to the resonation of a cigar box guitar, the CBG is typically a little higher, so be careful not to over tighten the strings.
