Last Monday, I finally climbed back aboard ye old beastie for fifteen minutes of methodical marching. That didn't seem too bad. But five minutes got added on each day, and by the time thirty minutes rolled around on Thursday, I had come to the realization that there are. But after being out of training for so long, the thought of being in training with someone feels claustrophobic. Like I can't do what I want and when, that I'm restricted and controlled. I like riding with other clinicians, I like deciding to take a week or two off of lessons, I like being the only one making decisions about my horse. And explored other options.
