Not finding myself, but creating myself. The journey to forging my optimum lifestyle. Recipe: Chickpea and Butterbean Dip. March 10, 2015. CHICKPEA and BUTTERBEAN DIP WITH LEMON and GARLIC*. I made this in my Nutribullet, but do it in whichever blender you have. It’s super fast and easy. 2 tbsps extra virgin olive oil. 1 tbsp sesame oil. Zest of 1 lemon. Juice of 1 lemon. 1/2 tsp black pepper. 2/3 tsp sea salt. Drain and rinse beans. Bang everything in the blender, whizz it all up and get to dipping!

Happenings At the Van Boening Mini-farm. Monday, August 12, 2013. We finally found the perfect dog. It was a long time comin. It is just a few days from the 2 year anniversary of Luther's untimely death and lately we have really been craving a dog. A big dog. A good dog for our location and for kids. We've always kind of wanted a lab, so we've been keeping our eyes open but not finding much. Mostly I check the Humane Society. Only a best friend would share a space this small with you and still love you.

March 10, 2015. 3 tbsps coconut oil. 2 large red onions. 2 sweet red peppers. 5 cloves of garlic. 500g bag of black turtle beans. 2 tbsp ground cumin. 2 tbsp smoked paprika. 1 tbsp ground coriander. 2 cans of chopped tomatoes (I like mine organic). 2 squares/20g of very dark chocolate (70% cocoa). Finely chop onions, peppers and garlic. I used my food chopper. Season to taste...
