Jennifer Widjaja: September 2009
http://jenniferwidjaja.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 20, 2009. The Duet' Apartment has a very unique lift. You can't just press the floor number to get up, instead you have to press a 5-digit code number for YOUR floor, because it's different for every floor. The designer most probably prioritize the safety of the residents, but it makes it hard to operate, especially for elderly. My proposed improvement would be to change it to operate like a normal lift. Posted by Jennifer Widjaja. Ross Lovegrove: Organic Designs. Which is represented b...

Monday, September 28, 2009. My product has been designed with a strong focus on the practicality and context of use of a purse. Purses and handbags have become increasingly bigger with progressing fashions. I wanted to create a petite and elegant design that was more than the existing “sacks” that hang from your wrist. This design attempts to be elegant and intriguing accessory while acting as a conversational piece. Monday, September 14, 2009. Wednesday, September 9, 2009. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Tuesday, September 29, 2009. Li, Xiao Ling (Susanna). When the product is taken from the envelop, it looks like this:. This product – pencil vase (BUTTER OWER) is designed for children between 6 to 12 years old. From a child’s eye, things with a shape like butterfly, flowers are so elegant, so I decided to use butterfly as the main shape for my product and when you look at the pencil vase from a distance, you may surprisingly find it like a flower. Thursday, October 22, 2009. OK How much truth can you take? If you want the really ugly truth about our planet, it's resources, our use and abuse of it and, our seemingly inevitable annihilation Read this Book; A blue print for survival. Penguin books. Published in 1972. Only 144 pages get it, read it. It really tells you how it is (without the up beat playschool approach that Annie for some reason, seems to think appropriate). An extract from it is below: REMEBER this was written in 1972! 4 Such a movem...

Julian's INDUSTRIAL DESIGN SCRAPBOOK. Monday, September 21, 2009. Ross Lovegrove: Power and Beauty of Organic Design. We are constantly placed in an environment that is constantly being shaped by nature and created by nature, and there is no doubt that without nature there will be no man-made. I believe this message was clearly revealed to us when Lovegrove presented to us his design of a plastic water bottle. I believe this video has shown me a great deal of inspiration of how we can simply look into ...
