As soon as the crisp chill of fall air can be felt and also can be smelled, inhaled, breathed deeply infused with the scent of crushed dryed leaves and fallen pine cones, as soon as I step out my front door and find myself swaddled by a cool autumn breeze, that's when my brain recalls fondly the warm, earthy orange hue of pumpkin. An Ohio state of mind. Two posts in one day, I know. But I really felt like I wanted to quickly share this little recipe I just whipped up for a single cup of hot chocolate. Hot Chocolate- Straight Up, One Cup. 1 TBS organic semi-sweet chocolate chips. 3/4 cup low-fat grass fed milk. 1 TBS grass fed half and half. 1 1/2 TBS. organic cane sugar. 1 TBS dutch cocoa powder. 1/2 tsp. vanilla. 6 or 7 grains of coarse sea salt, or literally the tiniest pinch you could manage of regular salt.
