Notes from saving the past. How to fix a loose clawfoot tub foot. Recently, one of our fans over on Facebook asked about fixing a clawfoot tub foot that keeps slipping off. American Standard Clawfoot Tub with tapered wedge and set screw. The most common foot attachment method out there is. Tighten the set screw tight. (Do not use a hex headed bolt for the set screw as you can tighten the set screw too far and break the foot.) Remove the blocks and set the tub down in place. Good luck to you! Ours just sl...

Unfortunately, finding a set of feet to fit a vintage claw-foot tub is going to be difficult. There are literally dozens of different designs for mounting feet to tubs. While we normally do have some loose feet, it is rare that we have a matching set of four. And even more rare that those would be the exact match to your footless tub. Another alternative is to have a company named Creative Castings.

Notes from saving the past. Favorite Item of the Week: Terra Cotta Porcelain Utility Sinks. C 1926 Utility Sink from Ohmega Salvage. Isn't this a beauty? We recently got in two of these lovely, vintage1926 utility sinks. They don't make 'em like this anymore. They weigh in at app. 125 lbs. each! Although there's no maker mark on either sink, we believe they were probably made by either Crane or J.L. Mott. I wish I had room in my house for one of these. Love 'em! Posted by Ohmega Salvage.
