Tuesday, November 30, 2010. I have always loved to check the mail. Ever since I was a little girl I have thought that it was exhilarating to get to the mailbox first to see if I had in fact received something special. Even now everyday when I come home from work the first thing I do is check the mail. Today I received a letter from the last person that ever heard my sister speak or sing or even breathe. Today I received a letter from the boy that my sister loved and who loved her in return.

Wednesday, December 03, 2014. Yes, it's been two years, but I am still crafting! Using a piece of carbon paper, I traced the letter onto the wood. I used the image as a guideline for burning the wood. When I finished, it looked like this. Using a dremel, (or you could use a drill,) I made a hole at the top of the ornament.
