One Photo a Day: Oct. 4 - Stew, Please
http://thethompsonsdailyphoto.blogspot.com/2011/10/oct-4-stew-please.html
One Photo a Day. Ducks in a Row. Tuesday, October 4, 2011. Oct 4 - Stew, Please. I have been craving me some stew lately, probably because of the shift in weather, and I came across this recipe in Rachael Ray's EveryDay. I found this in a set of 3 (small saucepan, medium saucepan, and this large soup pot) with lids. Thrifters, you will know how amazing that. They're enamel over steel, weigh a TON, and cook beautifully. Have I mentioned how much I love thrifting? 2 T EVOO (I used coconut oil). 2 Add onion...

One Photo a Day. Ducks in a Row. Monday, October 3, 2011. Oct 3 - Tea and a Robe. I don't think I've posted a picture of just me, all by my lonesome, on this photo-a-day venture, and I feel.weird.by doing it. Well, I'll just have to get over it because it's the only picture I took today! The weather has cooled substantially (I'm talking it went from 90º during the day to 45º at night! One Photo a Day: August 2011

One Photo a Day. Ducks in a Row. Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Aug 31 - My View. This is my view.a lot. I sit here and feed/eat with Griffin 3 times a day, 7 days a week. Each item has a little story. The bowl was found at a favorite thrift store in Michigan with my step-mom Cindy. It's filled with fruit, which we eat a lot of around here. Griffin alone goes through at least 2-3 pieces a day! Tuesday, August 30, 2011. Aug 30 - All Grown Up. No eggs yet, but we expect it will be another month or two before ...

One Photo a Day. Ducks in a Row. Wednesday, October 5, 2011. Oct 5 - Canvases, and Acrylics, and Elephants - Oh My! Better. It's a lesson learned pretty early on in motherhood: Don't set your mind on having anything. We decided on an elephant for the shape. After Griffin had had his way with the paints, I filled in some of the blank spaces. Once it had dried, it was time to peel off the elephant. Clearly, Mr. Elephant needed a bit of.help. He was looking slightly amorphous. Tuesday, October 4, 2011.

Hunter & Marika: October 2009
http://hunterandmarika.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 29, 2009. Building a new home. Little by little we are all realizing we are home in our new little place. I was very thankful the other day when we came back from exploring our new territory and Anneli says "home". She often will see something that reminds her of our house in Scappoose and will point to it and say "home" as if saying that belongs at our old house. Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Well it's a new start for our family. New house. New neighborhood. New state!

Hunter & Marika: May 2010
http://hunterandmarika.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 13, 2010. We had a wonderful visit from my mom and sister and her two little ones recently. We all crammed into our little apartment, which was a bit cozy. We were all sleep deprived but we did squeeze in a fair amount of fun with 4 kids all needing naps. Here are a few highlights from their stay with us. Anneke in the sandpit at the Children's Museum. Anneke and Anneli at the Children's Museum. Iya and Martin in the ball pit. Anneli making very silly faces. Anneke looking very stylish!

Saturday, November 20, 2010. 5 pieces of bacon. 4 chicken thighs, you can use any pieces of chicken with bone and skin. 5 potatoes, yukon gold, or other yellow potato with thin skin. Salt and pepper to taste. This blog is inspired by Lonna's recent blog posts about whats on your families dinner menu, so here is what we've been having the last few days. I haven't put much thought about our menu for the days to come, maybe you could help me out on that one. What's on your menu this week?

Hunter & Marika: Summer Begins!
http://hunterandmarika.blogspot.com/2010/06/summer-begins.html
Saturday, June 5, 2010. We have had very hot humid weather here for the last few weeks. Thankfully the last few days have cooled off (high 70s) and we have been enjoying some refreshing rain. HA! I don't know if I would have ever caught myself saying that when I was living in Oregon. Anneli is filled with such joy and often has a smile on her face. Anneli looks like she is posing for the camera. These girls make the silliest faces. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Follow Hunter to Rwanda.

Hunter & Marika: December 2009
http://hunterandmarika.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 4, 2009. We were all very excited to wake up to a blanket of fluffy white snow outside. The only downside was that I hadn't prepared myself for this much snow so soon. I haven't even bought a pair of boots yet! Well, I found a temporary fix by slipping into Hunter's big clompers. I bundled the girls up.wow was that a lot of work! Our very kind neighbor who I'd met just minutes before, who also watched our whole escapade was kind enough to shovel our sidewalk for us.Thank you again!
