One Poem Every Day

One Poem Every Day. Saturday, July 11, 2015. Waves upon waves–darkness and light. Waves upon waves–laughter and tears. Arrivals at dawn, goodbyes at night. Floating down the stream. One lonely touch, a tryst in a dream. The wave of a hand, the turn of a head. Lost hopes of lifetimes. Lost with the dead. Yet, desire. No strength. But a life full of toil. Bow broken boat adrift on the waves. Yet, desire. No words. But a heart broken voice. Half weep, half rejoice. And waves upon waves upon waves upon waves.

One Poem Every Day: July 2013

http://www.onepoemeveryday.com/2013_07_01_archive.html

One Poem Every Day. Friday, July 19, 2013. I can no longer. See that shining light when I close my eyes,. See that shimmering being that pervades all things. My sight is now limited. To what everybody else can also see,. To the mundane,. To the ordinary,. I no longer feel. That someone spilled a bucket of joy inside my heart,. That everything is bubbling with effervescent happiness. Instead, I feel like the rest of you. Moved by petty sorrows and pleasures,. Moved by anger, perchance sometimes by hate.

One Poem Every Day. Friday, May 17, 2013. Tired legs. Strengthless hands. Long to sleep. Long to sleep. Lay down my head. People come and people go. They come and go. They come. They go. They come, they go. Some smile, some nod. Some shake their head. My wares I neatly spread. My wares I spread. My wares to sell. My wares, who cares. If they don't sell. My cares I wish,. I wish my cares. I wish to someone. The sun's gone down. The sky is red. Another day has come to end. Take me please,. I bide my time.

One Poem Every Day: October 2013

http://www.onepoemeveryday.com/2013_10_01_archive.html

One Poem Every Day. Sunday, October 6, 2013. I saw the sun go down last evening. The sky turned from blue. The world became smaller and smaller. Till there was only you. From that spark was a fire. The fire gave warmth all night. Its flames rose higher and higher,. Its blaze in your eye. Your eyes twinkled like stars,. And I, quietly star-gazing,. Didn't count all the hours go by. The flame burned and burned. Until the morning mist and rain. The dark sky once again. From dark to red to light.

One Poem Every Day. Monday, February 4, 2013. Confessions of A Half-hearted Poet. I am hardly a writer. A poet even less. But in my loneliness,. With pen and paper in hand,. And time, like the hourglass' sand,. Thoughts dark, light. Far away memories and sounds. I write whatever comes to mind. Into the hazy future. Mostly I keep them shut. Always perfect and sometimes right. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Confessions of A Half-hearted Poet. View my complete profile.

one poem / a day

One poem / a day. Nanowrimo Week 1 Excerpt. November 9, 2014. Here’s an excerpt of my writing from the first week of Nanowrimo. Prologue: From the Sky. You are a thirty year old woman living in a Vancouver with a dog and a boyfriend. You are a scientist and you are doing interesting research at the university. This is a nice life I have, you think, staring up at that clear blue sky with just a few wisps of cloud on this cool and unusually sunny day. It smells like: pine needles, grass, dirt and wet dog.

This WordPress.com site is the cat’s pajamas. June 5, 2014. Each week I will post one of my own poems. Feel free to assess, dissect and discuss each poem. At the end of each week I will give what my thoughts and feelings were when the poem was written and its meaning and will then post another poem. O say can you see the hypocrisy. The deceit and the duplicity. Now on your face I see the hurt and scorn. No mention of the sinful crime, the sordid porn. The rampant unbridled sleaze. Upright, uptight, up al...

The joy of the Lord is my strength. I celebrate with great joy because. I’ve heard His words and understood them. You alone are the Lord. You are always true to your word. I was stubborn and proud,. But you are a God of forgiveness,. Gracious and merciful,. Slow to become angry,. Rich in unfailing love. You did not abandon me,.

One Poem One Day

One Poem One Day. Wednesday, October 27, 2010. One day I watched a tree shed all it’s leaves in an hour. It was a young tree. It’s haste left me rooted to the ground. It was taking my speed. My need to get it done get it done get it done now. My ineptitude in the art of waiting. Or was I poisoning it? My mere presence sapping this tree of it’s youth. Bulldozing it towards winter’s crisp grasp. Monday, May 24, 2010. A veil before your eyes. Drown in heavy cream. Toss the container in the street. At two am,.

I Am Dorothy's Daughter | A great WordPress.com site

I Am Dorothy's Daughter. A great WordPress.com site. April 23, 2014. That was what my mom was all about, keeping the magic alive. I hopped out of bed, and threw together the baskets in record time. 8221; I looked up into my husband’s face. He just smiled and said “what are you talking about? 8221;, and I knew. At the same time that Kelsey was looking at me like I was crazy because “the Easter Bunny ALWAYS bites the ears off your bunny – so what’s the big deal? February 13, 2014. When we get there. If you...
