Garden Front | Life On The Front...

Life On The Front…. My Rural Montana Life. One of my lifelong dreams has been to have a garden full of beautiful, lush vegetables. Our two years in Minnesota didn’t allow much room to explore this pleasure, but our current MT home nestled on 2 acres allows us plenty of land to plant a good size garden. In mid-April the lettuce and spinach seeds were sown followed by the warm weather starts on June 1. The kids and I flew to Florida and Arizona for 3 weeks, and by the time we arrived I had a full fledg...

Life On The Front…. My Rural Montana Life. If you haven’t realized it yet, I love the state of Montana. There is. Two Medicine at Glacier National Park. Something about the wide open spaces, the never ending blue sky and the thrill and mystery of the western lifestyle that makes my heart leap as soon as we cross the state line. For those of you who may not get the chance to venture west, I hope you enjoy my travel journals. If you are looking for a western get-away maybe this page will inspire you to...

Life On The Front…. My Rural Montana Life. January 22, 2010. Now that I live in cowboy country I see that both fact and fiction have stolen my heart. The picturesque homes of fictional ranches, outfitted with masculine leather furniture and antler fixtures really don’t serve the purpose of a working ranch. Most working ranches that I have visited since living in Montana have older homes as the main ranch house and several mobile homes that house the families of the owner’s children. One thing that hasn’t...

Life On The Front…. My Rural Montana Life. February 3, 2010. Taylors Homemade Cross Country Skis. Now too big to be pulled in the sled, Taylor donned homemade cross country skis for our family outing last Saturday. They worked well, but used muscles my little girl had never used before. Such a patient Dad. Jason is so patient with the kids. We skied about 1/2 mile up and back and then spent a good hour sledding. Have a great day everyone. From → Family. Larr; Back to Work this Week. Life On The Front…. My Rural Montana Life. January 19, 2010. The words of Jesus in Matthew chapter 5, better known as the Beatitudes, have always felt like a slow punch to my gut. Blessed are the poor in spirit, those who mourn, the meek, those who hunger and thirst. You know the passage. Feeling bewildered, I tend to pick and choose my favorite Beatitudes such as verse 8 that tells us. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. And verse 7,. You’re blessed when you care. At the moment of ...

Moist Garlic Chicken | Life On The Front...

Life On The Front…. My Rural Montana Life. I always make white rice (a seldom eaten food in my house) with this recipe because the garlic-chicken juice makes such a tasty sauce for the delicate Jasmine rice. I usually half this recipe. 1/3 c butter, melted. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tsp garlic powder. C seasoned breadcrumbs (in a pinch beat some crackers to a powder, add a pinch of Italian seasoning and use). 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.
