Saturday, December 25, 2010. I am home in Naperville for the holidays and here for a week. Every year I make my dad's favorite cookies: oatmeal raisin. A few Christmases ago, I tried to make them with white chocolate chips and dried cranberries. He wasn't thrilled.so now we stick to tradition. Might I add, that they were particularly awesome this year. Ironically, her blog looks EXACTLY like mine! 1 lb flank steak, or round steak. Preferably VEAL but beef works because veal flank steak is tough to find).

I took her suggestions into account but I did my usual internet browsing and recipe combining before I decided exactly how to do this. 1 medium sized butternut squash. 1 onion, chopped. 2 cloves garlic chopped. 1 tsp fresh ginger, chopped. 1 tsp all spice. 1/2 cup brown sugar, divided. 1/4 cup orange juice. 1 qt chicken stock. 1 Granny smith apple, chopped. Coq au vin - chicken with wine - is a traditional French country dish, in which a whole chicken is cut into 8 pieces, marinated in a Burgundy wine, and slowly cooked in bacon fat and vegetables and then accompanied with pearl onions and mushrooms. And used the aforementioned variations. Virginia Willis, by the way, does say that it is perfectly acceptable to use chicken breasts.so take that JC. Still had some shrimp leftover in the freezer. Had sour cream, too. One might not normally think of those two things together, but when you're on a budget, you work with what you got. One quick $7 trip to the grocery store scored me shredded cabbage, 2 limes, and corn tacos. My low budge invention is as follows:. Juice of one lime. 1/4 cup sour cream.
