The record for cold temperatures on this day in our part of the country was - 21.2. My thermometer is not "official," but I think the cold is. Wednesday, February 05, 2014. This is the most wintery winter we have had in years. I need to get out and do the driveway again even though I have already shovelled it more times this winter than the past 8 or 9 I think.

Monday, September 8, 2008. 1 Place nose in large pot - hide, hair and all! 2 Boil for 2 hours. 3 Don't look in the pot during cooking. 4 Cool dish down until you can handle it, then skin the nose without fainting. 5 Discard the hide. Wash the nose in cold water. Place the nose in a pot of clean, cold water. Add salt and pepper to your taste, bay leaves, and onions. Boil until tender. 2 1/4 lbs moose (1 inch cubes). 1 large onion, chopped.

He mentioned fried chicken. I think someone else can fix that better. So, we settled on Frogmore Stew. An important part of Frogmore Stew is corn on the cob. We were lucky to find good quality at Dillon’s. The shrimp were frozen, but where we live, that is what to expect. . Christi had another idea….
