The Farthest Star: April 2014
http://thefartheststarblog.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Geoff draws spacey things. Apr 4, 2014. Back in the Swing of Things. This week I've revisited a couple of alien species in Novus Imperium. That haven't been getting enough attention. This first sketch is just me trying to get a feel for the Reos. They've been around since the early days of NI. But they've received by far the least attention in terms of development art. Previous versions of the Reos have had small sub-limbs folded against their torso. I seem to have forgotten that in doing this sketch.

The Farthest Star: November 2014
http://thefartheststarblog.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Geoff draws spacey things. Nov 7, 2014. It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad Cyborg. Well, so much for weekly updates. After a long trip during the Summer, I just sort of stopped keeping up. Let's see if I can't at least keep updating weekly for the rest of the year. That sketch did a decent job of capturing the feel that I wanted. I particular, I'm pleased with the forearm and shin armor. The rest of it makes for a starting point, if nothing else. While discussing the previous sketch, a friend suggested that Gray's s...

The Farthest Star: March 2014
http://thefartheststarblog.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Geoff draws spacey things. Mar 28, 2014. The Giant Robot Groove. Recently, I've been trying to get back into mecha design. It's been a couple years since I last was working on mecha designs on a regular basis. One way I've been getting a feel for mecha is in sketching out some designs for a Gundam. Alternate universe with the fighting set on Mars. The mecha I posted last week was a tentative design for the same Mars Gundam idea. I've also been having fun with some fantasy-themed illustrations. Well, it s...

Figments of an Engineer: November 2012
http://figmentsofanengineer.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Figments of an Engineer. Thoughts from the mind of an Engineering student. Thursday, November 1, 2012. Good Lord, am I still alive? Wow, it has been SO long since I updated this blog. I don't even know where to start with updates. Lets see where my last post left off. Anyways, while I was back home in Fort Collins, the big city arts/music festival was going on, New West Fest, and there were numerous local bands playing at something like 8 different stages across the downtown area. And not a little one, a...

Figments of an Engineer: July 2012
http://figmentsofanengineer.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Figments of an Engineer. Thoughts from the mind of an Engineering student. Thursday, July 5, 2012. Well it is that time of year again. The Time when Americans get all hot under the collar with patriotism and they have to cool themselves off by firing off inordinate amounts of highly combustible rockets into the night sky! One thing that should be said is that there was a pretty good wind coming in from the Lake (Lake Michigan) so that affected it quite a bit. Anyways, it was a really nice night right by ...

The Farthest Star: Settling Back Into Productivity
http://thefartheststarblog.blogspot.com/2014/06/settling-back-into-productivity.html
Geoff draws spacey things. Jun 6, 2014. Settling Back Into Productivity. It seems I keep missing posts here on the blog, in no small part thanks to my continued enjoyment of Digital Extremes' Warframe. In light of that, I've done a few pieces of work based on the game. The first is a response to the "Suspicious Shipments" event, which occurred last weekend. To give a bit of context for those unfamiliar with Warframe. Additionally, I've continued the long tradition among Warframe. 1- The anchor-points for...

The Farthest Star: June 2014
http://thefartheststarblog.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Geoff draws spacey things. Jun 27, 2014. Some More Refined Sketches. My postings lately have been more intermittent that I would like, but then so has been my ability to do personal artwork. As such, I've only got a couple of sketches this time around, though they are more refined than many of the past works I've posted here. This second sketch is the result of having played through Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Jun 6, 2014. Settling Back Into Productivity. The items being held (or dropped, as it were)...

The Farthest Star: February 2014
http://thefartheststarblog.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Geoff draws spacey things. Feb 28, 2014. Well then, I have been just slammed with schoolwork the last couple weeks. While I am managing to keep up with my classes (something I'm both glad for and proud of) the artwork that I do for myself and for others has been suffering as a result. But enough of my complaints. You're here for artwork (what little there is this week). Have you ever had one of those ideas that ends up with you saying to yourself "This is so incredibly stupid, that I must make it happen"?

Figments of an Engineer: December 2012
http://figmentsofanengineer.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Figments of an Engineer. Thoughts from the mind of an Engineering student. Friday, December 28, 2012. Christmas Day and Hence. Another Christmas has come and gone, with few consequences thereof. The world didn't end, the economy didn't fix itself with holiday shopping, and my hair is still ridiculously short. I couldn't be happier, as it handled it like a champ! No slowing down of the card, no super fast battery drain, the back LCD even worked great! Here are a few of my pictures from that very cold walk:.
