http://caps-for-sale.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
A tree where I can rest and let those ornery little monkeys steal my caps, at least for a little while. Sunday, April 18, 2010. The sun is shining. Josh's first overnight basketball tournament in this weekend in the Chicago area. On the way up, I had a chance to catch up with a dear friend who I miss having in my daily life, and did a little shopping. Though, it was more just walking than shopping. The people watching at the mall was good too ;). Last night, both the 6th and 7th grade teams won! One of t...

A tree where I can rest and let those ornery little monkeys steal my caps, at least for a little while. Monday, November 02, 2009. Jake was just getting done with his splint as Josh was trying out for the basketball team. In fact, one afternoon he asked to have a friend over to help him practice, since Jake still wasn't able to shoot a ball yet. Josh made it through the cuts and made the team! We were so happy for him! No, they had not.why? Links to this post. The boys carved pumpkins the weekend before&...

A tree where I can rest and let those ornery little monkeys steal my caps, at least for a little while. Friday, April 02, 2010. Basketball in the spring. Now, it is set at regulation height. Josh is no longer little- he recently measured in at 5'4".only one inch shorter than me. And his practice is no longer random shooting for fun. It is scheduled, regimented, intentional practice to help improve his game. Their first game was last night. They won 62-34, which was very impressive. Even more impr...AndJo...

A tree where I can rest and let those ornery little monkeys steal my caps, at least for a little while. Friday, April 10, 2009. Thanks to a co-worker, I discovered a new sandwich place. This is no ordinary sandwich shop, however. It is reminiscent of the show Man V. Food (check out the link if you have never seen the show.) The sandwich shop, located on campus, is called "Fat Sandwich Company". DH and I checked out the menu online and decided to give it a try. Links to this post. Friday, April 03, 2009.

A tree where I can rest and let those ornery little monkeys steal my caps, at least for a little while. Saturday, July 04, 2009. Reflections on the City Museum. That's him in the red shirt. The boys really liked the ball pit in the bottom of the Monstrocity.I think the weather prevented them from enjoying it before. They recently added a large pencil to the skatepark. It really works.and yes, in case you are wondering, I did test it out. I guess if you really know me, you already knew that ;).

A tree where I can rest and let those ornery little monkeys steal my caps, at least for a little while. Saturday, May 29, 2010. The end of the school year. 20 pounds lighter than I was just 5 months ago (I have one more pound to hit the 20 lb milestone, and another 13 to hit the doctor's goal for me). I am not sure who is more excited about the end of the school year, the boys or me, LOL! 8220;If the school sends out children with a desire for knowledge and some idea of how to acquire and use it, it will...

A tree where I can rest and let those ornery little monkeys steal my caps, at least for a little while. Saturday, February 28, 2009. Today was the memorial service. It was a beautiful, funny, poignant. Inspirational event. I was honored to be asked to sit with the family. It was almost like a reunion, many friends from the past had come to pay their respects. Ever heard of the 5 love languages? They are words of affirmation, quality time, gifts, acts of service, and physical touch. I definitely. Well, to...

A tree where I can rest and let those ornery little monkeys steal my caps, at least for a little while. Thursday, April 01, 2010. It has been a while. That made me stop and think. Who is running the show here? For the last three months, my chest pain and medications have been in charge. I have been a slave to both. But I cannot continue to really "live" unless I get back in control. Prinzmetal’s angina, you are not the boss of me. Am the boss of. Will manage this, it will not manage me. Motherhood is Not...
