If you arent familiar with Hatch Peppers, check out this link:. Http:/ www.specialtyproduce.com/index.php? I like this recipe but we use fresh instead of canned peppers.

Three Dough Boys: Eggplant Parmesan
http://3doughboys.blogspot.com/2010/09/eggplant-parmesan.html
Kitchen Adventures of Three Fryes. Wednesday, September 1, 2010. This has become a big fav. We use the Southern Living Cookbook recipe. Easy and tasty! Peel and cut-up an eggplant. Let it soak in water for a little while to remove bitterness. Cover in cracker mixture. And in our fav. Family tradition - fry it up! Layer in big casserole dish. Layer with sauce and cheese. And top with tons of cheese. It was all eaten before I remembered to take a picture! Posted by Large Order of Fryes. Large Order of Fryes.

Three Dough Boys: February 2010
http://3doughboys.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Kitchen Adventures of Three Fryes. Saturday, February 20, 2010. We decided to be 'adventurous' for the girls bday cake. We saw a really cute site that made Cake Pops out of cheesecake. Cheesecake on a stick dipped in chocolate and rolled in sprinkles. The only way we could have made it better was if we had deep fried it like the State Fair! These are the candy wafers from Hobby Lobby that you melt. Lots of pink and white sprinkles for Birthday girls! These are fun Lollipop sticks also from Hobby Lobby.

Three Dough Boys: October 2009
http://3doughboys.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Kitchen Adventures of Three Fryes. Wednesday, October 14, 2009. Ooey Gooey Carmel Apples. After much begging and pleading, I finally gave in to this project : ). Not sure how many were missing by the time we finished unwrapping 2 bags of carmels. Then we took our apples and go them ready to dip. So after melting the carmels, we dipped the apples in the gooey mess. Raymond came up with the idea to chop nuts to dip them in. Just a tasty addition to them! How do you eat an apple with no front teeth?

Three Dough Boys: October 2010
http://3doughboys.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Kitchen Adventures of Three Fryes. Tuesday, October 5, 2010. We have talked about canning for many years and just never did it. Well this birthday gift fixed that! Now the delay was what to can. We still were growing some jalapenos. So we thought that was a good start. This is a mix of jalapenos. Banana peppers and red bell peppers. We also bought about 2# of jalapenos. To make some extra jars. Luckily I had a great chopper who didn't. Mind slicing all these peppers. Posted by Large Order of Fryes.

Three Dough Boys: April 2012
http://3doughboys.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Kitchen Adventures of Three Fryes. Tuesday, April 24, 2012. Canning with Tattler Lids. We invested in a reuseable canning lid called Tattlers. This batch of picante was our first time using them. The white lids and the red rings have a lifetime warranty on them. I was worried about using them - not sure why - maybe just because they were new to me. You boil the whites and red rubber rings just like standard canning lids. Posted by Large Order of Fryes. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Large Order of Fryes.

Three Dough Boys: For Star Wars Fans
http://3doughboys.blogspot.com/2010/05/for-star-wars-fans.html
Kitchen Adventures of Three Fryes. Monday, May 31, 2010. For Star Wars Fans. Grandma sent us Star Wars Pancake molds. They are so funny! Though there was a little bit of a learning curve - I finally started spraying each mold with non-stick spray and they came out much better. Also, the batter needs to be very thin to fill the mold easier. I did read that Williams-Sonoma also sells a pancake pen to help fill molds better. It basically looked like a plastic ketchup/mustard type bottle. Large Order of Fryes.

Three Dough Boys: January 2010
http://3doughboys.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Kitchen Adventures of Three Fryes. Saturday, January 23, 2010. More on coconut milk. Here is a good video. Http:/ www.tropicaltraditions.com/organic dried coconut.htm. They also show that they use the coconut twice to get more milk. On the 2nd time thru - you use about half the water you did the first time. Posted by Large Order of Fryes. Friday, January 15, 2010. Coconut milk is even more easy than making almond milk. Take one cup dried coconut. Add one cup boiling water. To drink you just shake well.
