A Year in Guatemala. Traveller’s Tips: Driving the Ring Road in Iceland. I made a trip around Iceland’s Ring Road this August 2014. If you don’t mind diving, it’s a great way to spend a week or two. I had 8 full days in Iceland, which was just enough. Two more days would have been ideal. Some of the remote Islands and the West Fjords would have been possible with 2 full weeks.
