HILARY—Teaching Strangers in a Foreign Land | Ordinary People -- Extraordinary God

https://ordinarypeopleextraordinarygod.wordpress.com/2008/08/15/hilary—teaching-strangers-in-a-foreign-land

Ordinary People — Extraordinary God. Testimonies of Jesus working through everyday people…. August 15, 2008. HILARY Teaching Strangers in a Foreign Land. Hilary- Adult ESL Teacher. I secretly want to be like Hilary when I grow up, even though we are the same age. God has set her apart for such an amazing ministry that it just makes me want to squeal with excitement when I think about it! Hilary is a welcomer . This is what I am so inspired by. In 1997, Hilary committed her life to Christ and immediately ...

JEN– Side-splitting Voice of Our Generation | Ordinary People -- Extraordinary God

https://ordinarypeopleextraordinarygod.wordpress.com/2008/08/04/jen-side-splitting-voice-of-our-generation

Ordinary People — Extraordinary God. Testimonies of Jesus working through everyday people…. August 4, 2008. JEN– Side-splitting Voice of Our Generation. There is nothing normal or average about Jen. To spend time around her, your sides would split from laughing, you’d learn more about her best friend, Jesus, and you’d honestly think to yourself, geez, I want to be like her! She’s human, and (sorry, Jen) flawed, and simply a girl after God’s own heart. I even teach a class based on her first book,. You co...

Ordinary People — Extraordinary God. Testimonies of Jesus working through everyday people…. September 7, 2008. KATIE– Middle Eastern “Baby Catcher”. Katie, with her husband Steve. Do you know any midwives that would want to come work in my country? It’s not your everyday request. Especially given what a narrow segment of the American population even has this vocation. In fact, I had heard of midwives, but wasn’t even entirely confident I understood what my inquirer was asking for. Midwifery is a health c...

Ordinary People — Extraordinary God. Testimonies of Jesus working through everyday people…. July 14, 2008. WAHIDAH*– A Matchless Ministry to the Handicapped. Physically handicapped child with her mother. Wahidah,* in Arabic, means unique, matchless and I could not have chosen a better name to describe this woman and God’s story in her life. Wahidah is an unsuspecting hero of the faith because her demeanor is so gentle, shy, compassionate, and sweet. Wahidah’s vision for this center was birthed after the ...

Michelle In Turkey: A Southern Girl's Guide to Central Asia: A Visit to the Village

http://michelleinturkey.blogspot.com/2009/12/visit-to-village.html

Wednesday, December 9, 2009. A Visit to the Village. It's customary for the bride and groom to visit the family's home village after the wedding. It's sorta like saying "thank you" for coming to the wedding. A few weeks ago Umut and I went to his family's small village in the mountains, outside of Denizli (modern Colossea). Even though I am from Tennessee, this was the 1st time I used a real outhouse! So here is what you are looking at:. She has a stove but isn't interested in using it. I guess old h...

Michelle In Turkey: A Southern Girl's Guide to Central Asia: April 2009

http://michelleinturkey.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

Saturday, April 25, 2009. Turkish Weddings = BIG and *Bling*. Umut and I will get married in Texas in January. Since his family won't make it to the US for the wedding, in late September we will have a Turkish "wedding". I get to be a bride twice! And just to clarify, to the same man.). On Thursday we went to Madam Burcu, best described as the "David's Bridal of Turkey". Momma Ceylan has her heart set on this store because they will lend you their infamous white stretch limousine for your Big Day. PS: As...

three trad house: The days are evil.

http://heismyportion.blogspot.com/2009/06/days-are-evil.html

Sunday, June 28, 2009. The days are evil. I've felt really lazy lately which is ironic because I'm having the busiest summer. And it's not all work either, there is a little time for play, yet I still feel like I'm not using my time wisely and God has been burdening my heart to pray over my time that I would use it more wisely for His kingdom. Sooo much free time.but still when I'm in the midst of it I feel like I have no time at all. My laziness is the root of the feeling that I have no time.

Andrea's Journey to Botswana.and Back! The best way to start a day. This morning as I was leaving for work, one of the boarders, (the young man I talked about in this post. Ran up to me and said, "Miss Andrea! You'll never guess what happened last night.the flame came back! Referring to his passion for Christ which has recently been lost somewhere) He shared with me what a wonderful evening he had with the Lord and then said, "Remember how I told you God put it on my heart to start a prayer group? I've b...

http://michelleinturkey.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 10, 2009. Umut's 1st Boxing Match. I went over to Umut's house after church on Sunday to find him in a boxing match with some American friends. I am ashamed to say that Umut lost. Then again, our friend had already reached the level of "professional" and this was Umut's 1st game. Maybe next time, Umut. Feel free to ask Umut why his Wii character is named Paco Sanchez! Gumby and a Turkish Hair Salon. Unfortunately, there were NO hair magazines at the salon to show what I wanted! An Ele...

Ordinary People Everyday Things

Ordinary People Everyday Things. My attempt is to reflect and capture everyday things in my life. Often simple is best and being ordinary sits just fine. That's not to say it's fun and fabulous to be around famous or infamous people. I find it an alluring tonic to get outside my surroundings every now and then. Find new perspective and keep things fresh. Monday, November 27, 2017. Of Diamonds and Pearls. Photo: At Lake Tahoe three years ago, wearing the diamond necklace. Ordinary People James 5:17. Wednesday, February 15, 2006. Posted by Darren at 4:58 AM. I think my biggest fear is not that i am inadequate. Not that I am able to change this world or the people around me simply by my actions. I acknowledge that i as an individual am powerful. My mind perceives and sets the rest of my body in to motion, where i become this creative force that is driven to acomplish great things. What then is my biggest fear?
