Farm Blog: February 2015
http://oregonfarm.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 18, 2015. A vertical 'staff' tasting. So we cracked open the soon to be released 13's with some older wines yesterday. It was super fun to taste the 11, 12 and 13 chard and the two soon to be released '13 pinots with there '11 cousins. Tiffany and I especially where anxious to taste and hear brian's analaysis of the wines as we are the ones who will soon be talking to all of you about them - I'm excited to tell you they are stunning! Farm Blog: October 2014
http://oregonfarm.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 31, 2014. It's hard to believe. I sit here with the fire going and an empty house just me the hubs and the dogs! This photo is how I feel now - calm and peaceful happy and tired. it's been a year! The wines are sleeping with a few loose ends still to button up. the winery (while not totally done) was functional for harvest and it was an epic harvest! The rains held off just long enough esp given the lack of roof on our crush pad and the fruit was beautiful this year! And a lot of sleep .

The Proud Garden: June 2015
http://theproudgarden.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Goodbye June, hello July. I only ever get a tiny yield from my rhubarb but added together with strawberry and it makes a delicious tart. Wednesday, June 10, 2015. 2015 is looking to be a good year in the garden. A proper spring season with mild temps made it possible to set out a lot of transplants in late April, and an early summer had done nothing but absolute good for the garden. I hope the weather continues on like this for the next few months! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
The Proud Garden: Midnight Beauty Seedless Black Grape
http://theproudgarden.blogspot.com/2010/09/midnight-beauty-seedless-black-grape.html
Monday, September 13, 2010. Midnight Beauty Seedless Black Grape. I found out that these were developed by the agri-business company Sun World. Under registered trademark which means that growing them in my garden will never happen. No seeds, no seedling, and being a hybrid guarantees that I wouldn't get the same plant anyway. September 13, 2010 at 11:38 PM. Oh mmm, black beauties indeed! September 14, 2010 at 8:31 AM. I bet these would make great raisins! September 14, 2010 at 8:49 AM. It might be trick...
The Proud Garden: December 2014
http://theproudgarden.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 25, 2014. Usually I buy only poinsettias for the holiday season but these are so easy to grow, I don't know why I never thought to include amaryllis too. The plant is on its second scape and there's another one peeking out of the bulb. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Blogging is cheap therapy but not as instantly gratifying as the retail kind. The Proud Garden: What I really wanted was Cherokee “Purple” sauce
http://theproudgarden.blogspot.com/2010/08/what-i-really-wanted-was-cherokee.html
Tuesday, August 31, 2010. Wanted was Cherokee “Purple” sauce. Surely I'm not the first. I love the color of Cherokee Purples sooooooooo. Much (spreads arms wide apart) that I was compelled to capture that deep smoky red within a delicious sauce. Well, I'm sorry to report that the purple. Hmmmmand then for dinner, I stuffed 5 Rouge d'Irak heirlooms with rice and pork sausage. They were so good that I didn't even think about taking photos. Tonight we eat homemade pizza topped with more tomatoes....Also,...

Bonjour Teaspoon: February 2013
http://bonjourteaspoon.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 11, 2013. The Chanel Jacket - Beginning My Jacket Drape. The draping of the jacket started in December. I draped a low-hip length torso bodice with bust and fish eye darts. I might change it to have a side panel and no fish eye darts. The sleeve was draped as well, however, I don't have a photo of it at this stage. I like having a collar and am considering doing it and the front trim, along with the pocket and cuff details on the bias like the jacket above. 0 comments - Leave a comment.
Bonjour Teaspoon: Art Deco Preservation Ball and The HIGH STYLE exhibit at The SF Legion of Honor
http://bonjourteaspoon.blogspot.com/2015/07/art-deco-preservation-ball-and-high.html
Friday, July 24, 2015. Art Deco Preservation Ball and The HIGH STYLE exhibit at The SF Legion of Honor. In May, Mark and I were able to attend the Art Deco Preservation Ball at the Scottish Rite Center in downtown Oakland. It was a magical evening, and the experience rivaled that of making my gown for the event, which took a little over a month. I absolutely love designing and making historical dresses for art deco events. And, I LOVE to go to fashion exhibits SO the High Style. I wanted the lace edge to...
Bonjour Teaspoon: January 2012
http://bonjourteaspoon.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 1, 2012. This year, I’m presenting an interview series with People of Style in Alameda. Did you know Alameda was such a cool community? I’ve suspected, but didn’t realize the extent of it until my friend Heidi and I founded an Alameda based Business Group we call the Lucky Ladies. Filled with an array of creative businesses from Sewing Teacher to Yoga Instructor, nutritional counselor to lighting designer, clothing designers to hand felted home goods – you name it! JS – Excellent! It̵...
Bonjour Teaspoon: October 2011

Monday, October 10, 2011. Ella with her finished bag! It's such a gratifying experience to finish a project. I usually start them and slowly work through each project and eventually get to the end. Not so easy though. It's easy to get frustrated or bored. Like my friend Pauletta, avid sewer, knitter and practicing Buddhist, told me, it's a mediation in patience. These girls have started that practice and are reaping the rewards! The Dark Angel Commeth! Cate finishes her Halloween Costume.

Tuesday, August 29, 2017. Brian's Fall Newsletter and wine release. I hope this finds you well. Summer has always been my favorite time of year, it’s just too damn short. I like the fall too, but it takes second place to the Oregon summer. There is something about the energy that comes from the warmth and long days. Or maybe it tastes good because the labels are so great! OK – enough bullshit – here are the wines. I tasted them in this order. so here they are presented to you as well. Vibrant and stalwar...
