éireann: diaper sprayer tutorial
http://misseireann.blogspot.com/2009/11/diaper-sprayer-tutorial.html
Tuesday, November 10, 2009. My latest project was actually not a repair. i built myself a diaper sprayer! It was insanely easy, and i am so ridiculously proud of myself. we started tk on solids two weeks ago and her diapers have become a bit more solid as well. since she is in cloth diapers, we don't get to just throw away her mess and swooshing her soakers in the toilet bowl was just not working for me. a friend had suggested i could make my own. Slide a loosened hose clamp onto one of the supply line p...

éireann: wherein the seam ripper gets quite a workout
http://misseireann.blogspot.com/2009/07/wherein-seam-ripper-gets-quite-workout.html
Friday, July 31, 2009. Wherein the seam ripper gets quite a workout. Either the pattern is off or it's me, and i'm choosing to believe it's the pattern. i made this cute sundress, butterick # 5181, the first garment i have tried to fit to my new post-baby body. i measured (i have a 39" bust? How and when did that happen? True, in the past i have not been a fan of understitching. Why not just cut one from the batiste lining? The way the midriff band was attached also made the dress difficult to alter....

éireann: three good reasons to have a fluffy bum
http://misseireann.blogspot.com/2011/10/three-good-reasons-to-have-fluffy-bum.html
Thursday, October 13, 2011. Three good reasons to have a fluffy bum. Yesterday i talked about how we're potty-training and why my friends object to cloth diapering. If you're still not convinced to make the big switch, here's a couple more reasons:. 1 cloth diapers are better for the environment. The cost example i used yesterday assumes 7,280 disposable diapers used over 2.5 years, the diapering life of MY child. that's a lot of diapers. according to the epa. When you purchase cloth diapers, you are cho...

éireann: garden lessons
http://misseireann.blogspot.com/2011/09/garden-lessons.html
Wednesday, September 28, 2011. What i have learned in this summer of gardening:. Gardening is supremely frustrating. i have harvested exactly two tiny zucchinis and had to replant my indeterminate tomatoes twice before giving up and buying transplants that (finally) actually grew. One square of basil from seed (last year) is too little. four squares from transplants is an overabundance. next year: two squares, from transplants. Also, four squares of lettuce is an overabundance. this fall: two. Also amazi...

Rainy Day Fun - Newlyweds
http://www.newlyweds-blog.com/2015/03/12/rainy-day-fun
Exploring the joys of marriage. March 12, 2015. It’s been a rainy season so far, between that and the cold we’ve been cooped up in the house for way too long. It was raining yet again and ALOT so I decided to let the boys play outside, yes in the rain, yes it was about 65 degrees and yes in their undies. H even got in on the action, he was home sick with a stomach bug, but was feeling much better. C and G were a bit hesitant at first, but they loved it. And even stripped down. Be Sociable, Share! Life on...

éireann: how to recover a g waistband
http://misseireann.blogspot.com/2011/09/how-to-recover-g-waistband.html
Tuesday, September 27, 2011. How to recover a g waistband. Disclaimer: there are probably seven different methods to arrive at the same result (a covered waistband), so i apologize if mine is a bit roundabout and tricky. if you know of a faster, easier way to do this please let me know! Fold your diaper in half, and fold your fabric strips in half the short way. line up the folds and mark with a pin the point at which the diaper body ends. Onto the bum of the diaper also. (please excuse the teeth....

Here's my latest project: snaps on the guest room duvet. i can check something else off my 2010 to-do list. It didn't end up exactly how i had envision it, but i like this better, i think. This has been on my list of things to do. but then, my mom went and bought herself a snap press. Then i set the female end of the snap directly onto th...

Sneaky Snacks - Newlyweds
http://www.newlyweds-blog.com/2014/09/04/snacks
Exploring the joys of marriage. September 4, 2014. So the other day the babies were playing out side and I was feeding the chickens and I walked up to this scene (of course I ran for my camera). What you are looking at is not a trash can, but the dog food can. The babies managed to push their wagon over to it, pull the lid off and climb inside, it’s about halfway full of dog food. Hi, what are you doing? If you notice both of their cheeks seem to be full. hmmm……. Be Sociable, Share! Ha, yes i need to upd...
