10 miles south of Brookings. On US Highway 101. A fifteen minute walk north on the beach will take you to Oregon. There is no clear sign of the border, but it is somewhere between the parking area and the mouth of the Winchuck River. Here is where the beach's namesake Pelicans dive for fish. Multitudes of seagulls also compete with them for feeding rights. An unpaved parking area north of the Winchuck provides access to this portion of the beach without fording. Be prepared to dodge potholes, however.

Kamph stands out from most Northern California beaches in one key aspect: lack of tire marks, probably only because it doesn't have good automobile access. Friday, April 10, 2009. Bath Bombs and Soaps! So I've been very busy with tax season but thank god it's almost over. I've been working hard but at last, three more days and it's done!
